The second edition of the APPT Manila Championship is set to run from October 16 to 27, 2025, at the luxurious Okada Manila, one of the premier integrated resorts in the Philippines. With its world-class facilities and the highly experienced PokerStars Live Manila team behind the scenes, players can expect a festival that delivers on every level — from organization and hospitality to the intensity of competition at the tables.

The inaugural APPT Manila Championship in 2024 proved to be a landmark event for the region. Across 11 days of action, a total of 43 trophies were awarded and more than ₱247,000,000 (~US$ 4,270,000) in prize money was paid out. The series attracted players from all across Asia Pacific and further abroad, who came together to battle for prestigious titles and the chance to make history at the very first APPT Manila Championship.

The Main Event was particularly memorable. Drawing a massive field, it built a multi-million prize pool, and in the end it was Vietnam’s Hieu Ngo who rose to the top. Ngo captured the inaugural championship title, the unique gold shard trophy, and a career-best payday of ₱11,610,000 (~US$ 199,100) — a victory that immediately established him as one of the names to watch in the Asian poker circuit.

Building on that success, the APPT Manila Championship 2025 is set to be even bigger and more exciting. This year’s festival will feature 62 trophy events, offering players of all levels a chance to compete for glory. The total guaranteed prize pool exceeds ₱155,000,000 (~US$ 2,700,000), with tournaments covering a wide spectrum of buy-ins and formats.
At the heart of the schedule is the Main Event, boasting a massive ₱60,000,000 (~US$ 1,050,000) guarantee for a ₱165,000 (~US$ 2,800) buy-in. The tournament is expected to draw top professionals from across the Asia Pacific region and beyond, all vying for one of the most prestigious titles on the calendar.

The festival schedule ensures there is something for everyone. Buy-ins start as low as ₱2,500 (~US$ 40), making it accessible for recreational players, while at the other end of the spectrum, elite competition awaits in the APPT One Million Challenge with its ₱1,000,000 (~US$ 17,000) buy-in. A variety of satellites will also be available, giving players more opportunities to qualify for marquee events at a fraction of the cost.

With the combination of a stunning venue, a proven track record of success, and a bigger-than-ever schedule, the APPT Manila Championship 2025 promises to be one of the standout poker festivals of the year in Asia.

For those who want to look back, the overall results from last year’s APPT Manila Championship are available, covering all completed events in detail.
