Triton Poker unveils details of the £1 Million buy-in Tournament in London
Triton Poker finally reveals details about the upcoming biggest buy-in tournament in poker history. It is going to be held as part of the Triton Super High Roller Series in London 31st July to 8th August this year.
Get ready for the Triton Million – A Helping Hand for Charity
This record-breaking tournament is going to take place from 1st to 3rd August in the Grand Ballroom of London’s Park Lane Hilton.
The buy-in will be precisely £1.05 Million, as a £50,000 entry fee is added for each entry. This additional fee is going to go to charity, although details on which causes exactly are going to be supported have not been announced yet.
The Triton Million will create one of the biggest prize pools and it is likely that it will also pay out the biggest first place prize ever.
Special rules to be introduced
In case you were thinking of flicking it in and hopping into this event, hold your horses. The only way to secure a seat into the Triton Million is to either be a recipient of an official invitation from Triton, or to be an invitation holder’s nominated guest.
The invitations went out to poker passionate business people which are then expected to invite established poker heroes as their “plus-ones”.
Already confirmed are the followings:
The field will be split in the beginning, allowing the recreational players to play only against other recreational players, while the pros battle it out with the pros. As players are knocked out, the fields will merge for the second and third day.
In addition to these interesting rules, there will be a ban on sunglasses, hats and hoodies. Players will not be allowed to cover up anything from the neck up. Also, the final table will require formal attire.
Triton Super High Roller Series London Schedule
The whole Triton Super High Roller Series London will consist of at least seven tournaments over a 10-day period. There had been additional tournaments in past events, so it is likely that the series could grow to a 10-event festival.
