Vietnamese poker player Nguyen Quang Huy’s 5th rank on the Vietnam All-Time Money List is thanks to numerous wins in the last few years. Kicking off his poker career in 2017, Nguyen kept his competition local, eventually placing 1st in the VN₫ 1,000,000 No-Limit Hold’em KO Bounty at APL Vietnam in October 2019.
Since then, Nguyen has become a local big wig and intimidating player, tending to sweep tournament titles like wildfire. He was present at dozens of Asian festivals in 2023, earning the top title in tournaments like USOP Ha Noi, Poker Dream 7, and WPT Vietnam Passport to the World Championship.
Nguyen ended his 2023 run with an absolute bang, earning the most cashes – a total of 5 – at APF Hanoi. He was also crowned the first-ever Main Event champion bagging a hefty VN₫ 2,680,000 (USD 110,400), thus simultaneously earning the title biggest earner.
The local Vietnamese high-roller has a total of over USD 1.2 million in live earnings and remains a force to be reckoned with.
