WPT Seminole Hard Rock: Star-Studded Final Tables in Florida
Somuchpoker is reporting live from Miami this week, bringing you all the latest action from the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown. There are currently two events at the final table stage, with some exciting names staking their claim to the titles and stacks of cash which are up for grabs.
$3,500 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown
This event began with 1,207 competitors, generating a mouth-watering $3,862,400 prize-pool. The starting field contained its fair share of poker luminaries among the lesser-known hopefuls, but few would have predicted the exciting group of players who would assemble for the final table five days later. Darryll Fish, who has previously finished 2nd place in a WPT Main Event in Montreal will line up against 4-time bracelet winnerRobert Mizrachi, and poker phenomenon Daniel Colman, who brings a chip-leading stack of 9,975,000 to this final table. His lead is small however, with multiple players in close proximity. The winner of this event will take home $661,283.

WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Finale
This $10,000 event attracted 349 runners, which allowed the total prize-pool to reach $3,315,500. Having kicked-off on April 2nd, the final table stage has now been reached four days later, and it is Alan Sternberg who leads the way with 4,605,000 chips, which is more than 1,500,000 more than his nearest challenger – 2013 WSOP Main Event champion Ryan Riess. These two protagonists will be joined at this final table by Jason Koon, who has 1,030,000 and Cliff ‘JohnnyBax’ Josephy, who has 1,855,000. The winner of this one will collect $716,088 in prize money. This means that we now have at least two star-studded final tables which we will update you on in the next day or so, along with the $25,000 High-Roller.

Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown $25,000 High-Roller
In addition to the two events already mentioned, we also have the $25,000 High-Roller to get excited about. 116 players paid the $25,500 buy-in to create a prize pool of $2,900,000, with numerous familiar faces turning out, as you would expect from a tournament with this sort of buy-in.
At the time of writing, 17 players are still in the hunt, including Jason Mercier, Erik Seidel and Olivier Busquet. The tournament is set to play down to a winner tonight, with the champion set to pocket $794,600. We will bring you more on this story once it has concluded.
