World Poker Tour® Season 25 Kicks Off in Phnom Penh with Return to NagaWorld for WPT Cambodia Championship

The World Poker Tour (WPT) will officially launch its landmark 25th season in Southeast Asia, confirming the return of WPT Cambodia to NagaWorld Integrated Resort in Phnom Penh from January 12 to February 2, 2027.

The three-week festival will bring two marquee championship titles to Cambodia , headlined by the $1,100 WPT Prime Cambodia Championship carrying a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool, followed by the flagship $3,500 WPT Cambodia Championship boasting a $1,000,000 guarantee.

The opening stop marks an historic milestone for Season 25, offering players two prestigious trophies to chase in Phnom Penh before the tour continues its global calendar across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

Two Marquee Championship Events Headlining Season 25

The festival schedule centers around two key Championship tournaments, providing a combined guaranteed prize pool of $1.5 million:

• WPT Prime Cambodia Championship (Jan 22–26, 2027): $1,100 buy-in | $500,000 guaranteed
• WPT Cambodia Championship (Jan 27 – Feb 1, 2027): $3,500 buy-in | $1,000,000 guaranteed

The winner of the $3,500 WPT Cambodia Championship will hold the distinction of becoming the first champion of Season 25 to have their name engraved on the iconic Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.

During the previous WPT Cambodia Championship, Chinese poker professional Xiaosheng Zheng outlasted a competitive field of 425 entries to capture his first WPT title alongside the $244,500 top prize.
