WPT Cambodia Passport to the World Championship 2026: Day 2 Recap

Action accelerated on Day 2 of the WPT Cambodia Passport to the World Championship 2026 at the NagaWorld integrated resort in Phnom Penh, Cambodia .

The second day of the festival saw six champions crowned, including the conclusion of the opening SuperStack, a high-roller title decision, and two fast-paced side events reaching their finish lines inside the main ballroom.

Viacheslav Zotov Captures NagaWorld SuperStack Title

The festival’s opening marquee event, Event #1: NAGAWORLD SUPERSTACK ($350) , reached its conclusion as the final 10 players returned to battle out of a 123-entry field.

Although Lebanon’s Abbouchi Mohamad entered the final day with the chip lead (1,110,000), but it was Russia’s Viacheslav Zotov who stormed through the final table to capture the trophy and the $9,671 first-place prize.

Zotov defeated France’s Mickael Taillepierre heads-up for the title, with Taillepierre earning $5,988 as runner-up. Germany’s Thomas Scheld finished third for $3,924, while start-of-day chip leader Mohamad ultimately departed in seventh place ($1,599).

Dong Lyu Claims Deepstack High Roller Victory

High-stakes competitors took center stage on Day 2 in Event #7: Deepstack High Roller ($1,650) . The high-tier tournament brought together an array of regional high rollers and visiting professionals competing for a prestigious trophy and substantial payouts.

Minh Thang Tran was the unfortunate bubble of the Deepstack HR after calling all in with his remaining stack holding pocket fours against Micheal O’Neill ’s king-nine. Tran was safe on the flop and turn, but the river brought a king, giving O’Neill the winning pair and eliminating Tran on the bubble.

China’s Dong Lyu put on a dominant performance against a stacked field to outlast all contenders and claim the High Roller title.

Players competing in the high-roller field enjoyed full complimentary access to the dedicated VIP Lounge right outside the tournament area throughout their breaks.
