Day 1C of the $1,100 WPT Prime Cambodia drew 424 entries across nine levels of registration, making it the largest starting flight of the series. With all three flights completed, the tournament tallied 1,095 entries and generated a prize pool of $1,051,750, surpassing seven figures for the third time in four editions.

Day 1A: 291 entries, 36 advanced
Day 1B: 380 entries, 48 advanced
Day 1C: 424 entries, 53 advanced

Dutch player Tom Verbruggen bagged the flight’s top stack with 1,014,000 chips, narrowly behind Day 1B leader Armaan Kochhar ’s 1,067,000 overall top stack. Verbruggen’s late-stage hero call with a mid-pocket pair was a highlight of the day.

Australia’s Chak Hei Chan finished second with 922,000 chips, while Rajat Sharma rounded out the top three with 889,000, after briefly breaching the million-chip mark during bubble play.

All 137 survivors return on Monday, February 2 at 11:30 a.m. for Day 2, guaranteed a minimum payout of $1,940, chasing a $164,570 top prize including a $10,400 WPT World Championship seat.

Event #44: Turbo Freezeout – Wadhwa Anuj Claims Victory

#44 TURBO FREEZEOUT 20 SEC ($400)

The Turbo Freezeout 20-Second event at WPT Cambodia 2026 brought plenty of excitement, drawing 54 entries and paying out to the top nine players from a $18,662 prize pool. With only 20 seconds to act on every hand, the tournament was fast-paced and intense, testing each player’s instincts and nerves.

Wadhwa Anuj came out on top, holding his cool throughout the day and ultimately defeating Steven Dimattei in a heads-up showdown. Anuj’s calm decision-making at key moments helped him secure the win and $5,599, proving that speed and composure can go hand in hand in these high-pressure formats.

The Hyper Turbo Mini HR 20-Second event added more fast-paced action to Day 12, attracting 24 entries and paying the top five from a $43,068 prize pool. Romain Dours navigated the quick-fire format with precision, ultimately defeating Akihiro Konishi heads-up to claim the title and $17,228.

Despite the small field, the intense structure demanded focus and timing, and Dours’ disciplined play throughout the event proved decisive in securing the win.
