World Poker Tour Releases Payout Structure for ClubWPT Gold $5 Million Invitational Freeroll
When the World Poker Tour published the full schedule for the 2024 WPT World Championships at Wynn Las Vegas, many eyebrows were raised because the flagship $10,400 Championship Event held no guarantee unlike in the inaugural two editions. However, they also announced a special $5 Million Invitational Freeroll for their new sweepstakes site ClubWPT Gold and has now confirmed the payout structure for the biggest Freeroll in poker history thus far.
ClubWPT Gold Invitational Freeroll
According to the announcement, around 2,000 seats will be given away for this unique tournament, which will be held in a freezeout format. The ClubWPT Gold Invitational Freeroll will be played throughout three days during the live poker festival in Las Vegas this December and approximately one quarter of the field will be played. The top 503 players are set to earn a cash prize or tournament entry and mystery bounty are coming into the equation as well.
Mystery Bounty Rewards Up To $100,000
Throughout the top 503 finishers, there is a one-in-five chance to win a consolation prize in the form of a $10,400 seat for the crown jewel on the schedule. Mystery Bounties will begin at the final 297 players, who all have the chance to draw the magic envelope with up to $100,000 of which two are available. The lowest bounty will be worth $500 but plenty of other large cash prizes such as $10,000, $25,000 and $50,000 are also in the mix.
On top of that are eight separate mystery bounty prizes for the final table, which is set to be live-streamed on the WPT social media platforms. One of them is worth zero, nada, nothing, the zonk of all envelopes. It then begins with $10,000 as bankroll boost and the largest final table bounty is a staggering $200,000.
Champion Guaranteed $1,000,000
While the minimum cash prize for the top 503 players is worth $1,000, the final nine contenders will have locked up at least $20,000 for their efforts. From there on, the cash prizes increase slowly until the top three may have a lot to think about. Third place comes with a cash prize worth $125,000 and that’s doubled for the second-place finisher. However, the eventual winner is set to take home $1,000,000 and the pay jump is massive.
In total, the ClubWPT Gold Invitational Freeroll this December will give away $5,000,100 and players will have various ways to earn their exclusive passports for this restricted event. The WPT and WPT Global ambassadors have already posted various contests on social media and signing up for the new sweepstakes platform through their links will increase the chances to snag a seat for the richest Freeroll in poker history so far.
The innovative tournament is part of the third-ever WPT World Championship, which takes place from December 3 to 23, 2024 in Las Vegas.
