Manh Tuan Nguyen Headlines a Record USOP Vietnam Series at Ha Long Bay

The U Series Of Poker (USOP) wrapped its USOP Vietnam HaLong Bay II 2026 festival at the InterContinental Halong Bay Resort in Vietnam , crowning champions across 125 events over nearly two weeks.

Running from August 27 to September 9, the series built toward a VND 30 billion (~$1.15M) guaranteed Main Event, eventually won by Manh Tuan Nguyen. Full breakdowns are available on Somuchpoker’s in-house statistics page .

The Main Event led the way both in prize pool and field size, its 1,185 entries and $1.17M pool comfortably clearing the VND 30 billion guarantee and accounting for nearly a quarter of the festival’s entire prize money on its own.

Manh Tuan Nguyen capped the series by winning the VND 30 billion guaranteed Main Event for 4.4B VND (~$169,885), the single biggest individual payout of the festival.

The Main Event drew the largest field of the series, with 1,185 entries across six starting flights, and ran with a free limited edition hoodie promotion for the first 80 eligible players in each of its first four flights to have chips in play before the end of Level 1.

Ngoc Cuong Huynh Wins the Championship Event

Ngoc Cuong Huynh won the festival’s second-biggest event, the Championship Event, for 3B VND (~$114,900), from an 875-entry field that comfortably cleared its 20B VND guarantee.

Combined with his other cashes, the win made Huynh the festival’s top SMP Poker Index performer and second on the overall money list with $157,915 from four ITMs.

Vietnam dominated the money list as the host nation, with China and India taking podium positions.

Top 5 Countries by Total Prize

Vietnam’s home advantage was overwhelming, with 212 ITMs producing $2,571,670, more than the combined total of the next four countries on the list.

India’s total is also notable, with just 22 ITMs generating $604,135, the highest average return per cash of any country in the top five, driven largely by strong runs from Archit Khandelwal ($152,445) and Arjun Agrawal ($152,130).

Game Types

USOP Ha Long 2026 ran exclusively Texas Hold’em across all 125 tournaments, generating the full $4,973,675 prize pool from 6,659 entries with no split-game or mixed events on the schedule.
