Guarantees Smashed as USOP Vietnam Ha Long Bay 2026 Fires Up the Championship Event
The Series of Poker (USOP) Vietnam Ha Long Bay 2026 event at the InterContinental Ha Long Bay Resort has officially hit its halfway point. With huge crowds filling the room, multiple major prize pool guarantees have already been completely broken, setting a big benchmark for the headline events coming up in the second half of the week.
Big Turnouts Leave Early Guarantees in the Dust

The event started with a bang when the Madness Kickoff brought in 1,149 entries. That easily cleared the initial VND 10 Billion (~USD 380,000) guarantee. The momentum didn’t stop there.

The Mini Main Event followed up with 1,061 entries, sailing straight past its VND 15 Billion (~USD 570,000) guarantee.
Even the most expensive event to play has seen great numbers. The Billionaire Club Challenge cost VND 165 Million (~USD 6,250) to enter and brought out 41 elite players. This pushed the final prize pool over VND 5.9 Billion (~USD 223,000), way past the original VND 4 Billion (~USD 150,000) line.
The Championship Event Takes Center Stage

With total entries regularly crossing the one-thousand mark during the first half of the week, all eyes are now on the multi-day Championship Event. It features a VND 25 Million (~USD 950) buy-in and a massive VND 20 Billion (~USD 758,500) guaranteed prize pool.
Given the huge crowds continuing to arrive at the USOP Vietnam Ha Long Bay 2026, this event is widely expected to be the next one to crush its guarantee.
To give everyone a chance to play, the event has five starting flights running over the next few days, all following the same format. Survivors from each flight will advance once the field reaches 12.5% of the entries, with all Day 2 qualifiers already guaranteed a payout on May 27.
Flight Schedule and Chip Leader Cash Bonuses
The first two flights start tomorrow, and there is an extra cash prize for finishing the day with the most chips. Day 1A starts at 10:00 AM local time, and the player who ends the day as the chip leader gets a VND 75 Million (~USD 2,840) bonus.
The night flight, Day 1B, starts later in the afternoon at 4:00 PM, with a VND 60 Million (~USD 2,275) bonus waiting for the chip leader.
The final three opening flights will run on Tuesday, May 26. Survivors from all flights will then return on Wednesday, May 27, for Day 2, where players will battle for the trophy and the top prize.

Super High Roller Set to Bring More Big Action Tomorrow
If the Championship Event rounds weren’t enough, high-roller players have another major event to look forward to tomorrow. The Super High Roller kicks off at 11:30 AM with a VND 88 Million (~USD 3,330) entry fee and a VND 2.4 Billion (~USD 91,000) guarantee.
With so many top players already in the room finishing up the Billionaire Challenge, this guarantee will likely be broken quickly as well.
