Two Main Event Champions Advance to Day 2
Among the 193 players returning for Day 2 are two former USOP Main Event champions, both hoping to add another deep run to their resumes.

Malaysia’s Tse Ian Lee , winner of the 2024 Da Nang Main Event, bagged a healthy 185,000 chips, giving him around 23 big blinds to work with when play resumes.
Meanwhile, Vietnam’s Ngoc Dai Nguyen , the 2023 Hanoi Main Event champion, faces a much steeper challenge. He advanced with just 29,000 chips, good for fewer than four big blinds and one of the shortest stacks remaining in the field. He’ll need an early double-up to keep his title hopes alive.
Day 2 Begins with 193 Players in the Money
Every player returning for Day 2 is already in the money, locking up a minimum cash of VND 55,000,000 (~USD 2,090). While the ultimate goal is the top prize of VND 6,200,000,000 (~USD 235,600), the champion will not be crowned today.
The objective for Day 2 is to reduce the field down to the final 18 players. Those who survive will return tomorrow for the final day of the tournament, which also marks the conclusion of the entire series.
Play resumes with 60-minute levels, starting at blinds of 4,000 / 8,000 with an 8,000 big blind ante.
Somuchpoker will be covering the action live, tracking key hands, chip counts, player eliminations, and payouts as the field plays down to the final 18.
