Players Confirmed
Among the confirmed pros to take part in the high-stakes poker production are Henrik Hecklen, Wiktor “limitless” Malinowski, Danny Tang, and Masashi Oya. Triton stalwarts such as Wai Kin Yong, Esti Wang, Rui Cao, Ken Tong, and Tan Xuan are certain to spice up the action along with Triton champions such as Aaron Zhang and Elton Tsang.
As usual, the cash game action will be streamed on the Triton Poker Twitch and YouTube platforms. What stakes can the poker fans look forward to? Andy Wong, CEO of Triton Poker, provided the following insight:
“Usually when we do a cash game invitational, we make sure that we have a rotation of players, and there are usually two tables happening at the same time. One is a stream table and the other one is going to include smaller stakes. They will play $500/$1,000 with $1k big blind ante, sometimes they play $500/$1,000 – $3,000 big blind ante, and then the usual is $1,000/$2,000 – $2,000 big blind ante. Today we started with 1,2,4,5 which means $1,000-$2,000, $2,000 big blind ante and $5,000 straddle. They are entering with half a million and the current average is around seven hundred thousand right now, so it is pretty feisty right at the start.”
In May 2024, the first edition of the Triton Cash Game Invitational was filmed at the Maestral Resort & Casino in the coastal city of Budva, Montenegro. It was a resounding success and featured countless seven-figure pots to captivate the viewers from all over the world.
Which of the participants does Wong consider as favorites to win and the most exciting to follow throughout the five days of high-stakes action?
“It depends on the swings. We always have a couple of pros in the mix, this time for example Wiktor “limitless”Malinowski is playing. Usually the All Stars are Elton Tsang and Tan Xuan. They absolutely love crazy, deep stack cash game high stakes. I don’t say they are grinders, but they are pretty much crushers because they have played this game for so many years. I think a lot of our audience, when they watch our cash game streams, it’s not that different because it’s really a mirror of what actually happens in a home game but for different amounts. You get these crazy people, while others are really tight and slow. Overall, it’s a very good mix. I would definitely say that Elton [Tsang] is a mere crusher in the game, and he always gives action. For example in Montenegro, he was down almost two Million Dollars in the first two days and then in the last two days he won the end of the session, so it was pretty interesting and very intense.”
Triton Super High Roller Series Monte Carlo
Poker fans won’t have to wait long for the next Triton Poker Series live poker tournament action either. The Triton Super High Roller Series Monte Carlo is just around the corner and will take center stage from November 1 to 14, 2024. Through three days, a champion will be crowned from November 7 to 9 and the eventual winner will claim one of the largest MTT cash prizes of the current year.
