Trophy In Sight: Aren Bezhanyan Runs The Table At $30K NLH

Event #3 $30,000 NLH 8-Handed moved toward its conclusion, with 27 players remaining from a starting field of 172 entries, generating a $5,160,000 prize pool. The bubble burst when Ramin Hajiyev’s pocket kings fell to Danny Tang’s ace-queen, Tang hitting an ace on the flop to eliminate Hajiyev. From that point onward, every remaining player was guaranteed a payout.

Aren Bezhanyan led the field with 3,015,000 chips (50 big blinds). Bezhanyan had just come off a win in Event #1 $20,000 NLH , where he earned $990,000 and claimed his first Triton trophy after defeating Aleks Ponakovs heads-up. He was now aiming for a back-to-back victory and a second Triton title.
