TMT20 Day 25: Ruki Nishibata Bags Crown Main Event Chip Lead as Field Completes

The Taiwan Millions Tournament (TMT20) closed out the Crown Main Event’s starting flights on Day 25, with Japan’s Ruki Nishibata bagging a commanding overall chip lead, while Cheng Chuang Lin took down the day’s High Roller Turbo at the Asia Poker Arena . The festival also released its latest Player of the Series standings, with Taiwan’s Sung Chi Wen extending his lead heading into the closing stretch.

Cheng Chuang Lin Wins High Roller Turbo For TWD 382,300 ($11,910)

Taiwan’s Cheng Chuang Lin topped the TWD 30,000 High Roller Turbo, outlasting 38 entries to bank TWD 382,300 (~$11,910) from a TWD 985,000 (~$30,685) prize pool.

Ruki Nishibata Bags Overall Chip Lead as Crown Main Event Field Completes

The Crown Main Event ran its final two starting flights on Day 25. Day 1E drew 381 entries, with 38 players surviving as Japan’s Ruki Nishibata bagged the flight’s biggest stack of 1,300,000, comfortably the largest of the festival so far. Day 1F followed with 396 entries and 40 survivors, topped by South Korea’s Jingoo Kang on 807,000.

Nishibata’s stack takes over the overall chip lead from Japan’s Motoki Nakai, who had held top spot on Day 1D.

With all six starting flights now complete, the Crown Main Event field stands at 1,635 entries, with 164 players through to Day 2. Those survivors return today, August 2, to play down toward the TWD 30,000,000 guarantee and the final table of TMT20’s last major title.

Sung Chi Wen Extends Player of the Series Lead

Taiwan’s Sung Chi Wen continues to lead the overall Player of the Series race, now up to 1,654.15 points after adding to his tally through the festival’s closing stretch. Wu Chia Yun holds second with 1,051.51 points, with Li Chih Feng third on 803.33 points.

Rounding out the top ten are Lin Wei Kai, Man Kam Wai, Chen Jia Lun, Ori Kossonogi, Li Chien Te, You Xuan Luo in ninth, and Hsiao Wei Wu.

Luo You Xuan Tops Female Player of the Series

The festival’s Female Player of the Series standings were also updated, with Luo holding onto top spot on 605.78 points, backing up her back-to-back titles earlier in the festival. Japan’s Shiina Okamoto sits second with 553.22 points, with Hong Kong’s Mok Chau Yan completing the podium on 457.88 points.

Rounding out the top ten are Cheung Ming Pui, Teng Jia Jen, Huang Tzu-Yun, Lin Chien Yu, Chao Chun Jou, Song Hyemin and Du Pei Yi.
