Day 5 of the inaugural TMT Championship 2024 brought another offering of significant poker events at the Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City, Taiwan. The ongoing festival has been running since October 25 and will continue through to November 4. This is the first high stakes tier of the homegrown Taiwan Millions Tournament created by the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTP Club), the pioneers of poker in Taiwan. Here are the latest highlights.
TMT Championship Day 5 Highlights
Wrapping up was the multi-day Mini Main (NT$ 3M GTD), which kicked off its Final Day with 87 qualifiers playing down to a champion. And while that finished off, the TMT Championship opened another multi-day event with the PFGT x Taipei Cup Mystery Bounty (NT$ 4M GTD), partnering with Korean brand, Poker Face Global Tournament (PFGT).
Another highlight of the day was The Hendon Mob Championship (THMC), brought by the The Hendon Mob group that is responsible for the largest poker database of events, poker pros and results, and contributes a large part to the international growth of the poker industry. The Single Day High Roller (Event #H4) also made its offering for those with deeper pockets.

Entering heads up, Chan had a 3 to 1 advantage against Hao Chen Cheng. It didn’t take long before he applied the pressure and emerged as the champion, winning the grand payout of NT$ 1,022,000 (~US$ 31,830) and a TMT Championship trophy.
