Lin Huang Wins 416-Entry Warm-up GiantStack as TMT Championship 2026 Begins
The TMT Championship 2026 got under way at CTP Asia Poker Arena in Taipei on Friday, and the opening day wasted little time. The TWD 3,500 Warm-up GiantStack drew 416 entries to clear its TWD 1,000,000 guarantee, and seven trophies had been handed out by the end of the night.
The third edition of the Taiwan Millions Tournament championship festival runs until October 26 and builds towards a TWD 35,000 Main Event with a TWD 30,000,000 guarantee. There are 35 scheduled events along the way, and the TWD 5,000 Taipei Open also began on Friday with three starting flights.
Lin Huang Wins the Warm-up GiantStack

The Warm-up GiantStack was always likely to be the busiest event of the opening day. A 50,000 starting stack and 20-minute levels brought 416 entries through late registration, with 63 players reaching the money.
Taiwan's Lin Huang finished on top and collected TWD 133,400 (~USD 4,180) after a three-way deal. Japan's Kawai Hiromu took second for TWD 135,600 (~USD 4,240), while Singapore's Lim Zi An received the largest payout of the event, TWD 146,100 (~USD 4,570), in third.
Taiwanese players filled most of the paid places, but the field had a strong international draw. Players from Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, India, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Switzerland all cashed, with Nam Hyungju the best of the Korean contingent in seventh.
