TLPT Jeju Opens With 202 Opening Event Entries and Team Event Action
The TLPT Jeju 2026 series got underway on Friday at LES A Casino in Jeju Shinhwa World, with the Team Event bringing a lively atmosphere to the tournament floor, the Opening Event flights wrapping up with 202 entries, and China’s Dou Bo capturing the first side event trophy of the festival in the Win the Button event.
Team Event Brings Jungleman and Poker Queens to TLPT Jeju

The Team Event added a different flavor to the opening day schedule as nine six-player squads battled for national pride and a share of the prize pool. Among the headline names was Dan “Jungleman” Cates , representing Team USA, while the popular Poker Queens squad also made an appearance and drew plenty of attention throughout the day.
The all-female team from Taiwan was created by Win Win Poker earlier this year as part of a wider mission to promote women in poker across Asia, featuring players, models, streamers, and entertainers who are actively competing on the regional circuit.

Things quickly went sideways for the American squad, however, as three of their players were the first to hit the rail from their respective tables. By the end of the session, six table winners had emerged and will now return on Day 2 to battle it out on the live stream for the title.
The top three teams will earn KRW 26,760,000, KRW 17,840,000, and KRW 12,170,000 respectively.
Opening Event Draws 202 Entries Across Three Flights
A total of 202 entries were recorded across the three Opening Event flights, generating a KRW 166,953,050 prize pool. Day 1b narrowly drew the largest crowd with 85 entries, just ahead of the 84-entry Day 1a field, while the final turbo flight added another 33 entries.
China’s Jin Boxin bagged the overall chip lead after finishing Day 1a with 427,000, narrowly ahead of Su Jiawei, who topped the Day 1b survivors with 425,000. Luo YingJiang led the Day 1c qualifiers after advancing with 243,000.
