The Biggest Stories From The One
The winner takes the headline. But some of the best stories came from further down the field.
Bufunfa - $325,000 After Two Years of Grinding
Bufunfa had earned $9,402 in two years on CoinPoker. Their previous best tournament score was $2,760.
Third place in The One paid $325,000 - more than 117 times that old record.
SeniorTalez - From $125 to $160,000
You’d assume a fifth-place finisher in a field this size is a seasoned MTT pro. Not here.
Before The One, SeniorTalez had never made a final table. They had four career cashes and had never won more than $125. Fifth place paid $160,000.
Tiniesta1994 - $1 to $19,250
Tiniesta1994 skipped the direct buy-in and won a seat through a $1 satellite. They went on to finish 15th for $19,250 - a 19,250x return on their investment.
Their previous best tournament score was $763.
Tony Was Playing Two Big Events at Once
While he was playing for a million, Tony was also heads-up in the $109 CoinMasters DOGE. He finished second, earning $19,024. Not a bad side session.
GOPC Medal Winners Back in Action
Four of the deep runners already hold medals from CoinPoker’s $88M GOPC series - TonyTheToenailcollector, raketenbauer, zoru99, and billy1913.
Tony, raketenbauer, and zoru99 all have GOPC wins
billy1913 holds a Silver Medal
Tony had already won over $100,000 from his GOPC medals before The One
How the CoinPoker Ambassadors Fared
Plenty of CoinPoker ambassadors made Day 2, including:
Patrick Leonard
Papo MC
Lecomsi
Beriuzy
YohViral
BluffaloSam
It was a tough field. RobinPoker went the deepest of the ambassadors, busting in 135th place.
