Seoul showdown! Top Joy Poker Tour and Ace Poker League unite for Korea’s richest event
Rising Chinese brand, Top Joy Poker Tour (TJPT) and South Korea’s premier brand Ace Poker League (APL) have joined forces to bring players the richest event in Seoul, South Korea!
Taking place at the Swiss Grand Hotel from September 28 to October 9, 2023,it features over ₩3.82 Billion (~US$ 2.88 Million) in combined guarantees, the largest ever prize pool advertised in the Asian region.
With poker’s continued boom in the country, players are advised to secure tickets as seats sell out quite fast. Unlike other events in the region, in Korea, once an event guarantee has been met, it is considered “sold out”. Seats are no longer available.
Top Joy Poker Korea Seoul 2023
The series is broken down into two parts. The opening five days – September 28 to October 2 – are hosted by TJPT, marking the brand’s first venture outside of home soil. It will be action from the get-go with the 1 Million USD guaranteed Top Joy Poker Korea Main Event first on the lineup.
To enter, three starting days are scheduled from September 28 to 30. Only TJPT vouchers are accepted for this event which can be won via the TJPT Online App.
For side events, TJPT vouchers and APL tickets are acceptable. While most side events are single day, the Mystery Bounty and High Roller are two-day events running from October 1 to 2.

Emerging into the Chinese poker scene in 2019, Top Joy Poker Tour has quickly become one of the most popular brands in the mainland. In April, the TJPT Shanghai Poker Tournament drew 1,771 Main Event entries for a prize pool of CNY 9,160,000, equivalent to over USD 1.33 Million.

Ace Poker League Seoul 2023
The second leg of the festival is hosted by Korea’s foremost brand, Ace Poker League, with games slated from October 3 to 9, 2023.As tradition dictates, the tables will be bustling from the outset. APL Seoul 2023 boasts a total of ₩2.5 Billion (~USD 1.88 Million) in guarantees across 19 events, with the Main Event featuring the most substantial prize pool at ₩1.1 Billion (~USD 827,500).
Since 2020, APL has established its dominance in the Korean poker scene, to the extent that local players find little reason to venture beyond the country’s borders, given the substantial prize pools on offer. Players can expect to see WSOP bracelet winners Jinho Hong, Sung Joo Hyun, and other Korean ace players such as Hyun Sup Kim, Jae Ho Lee, Daewoong Song, Soo Jo Kim, and Yo Hwan Lim.
To win tickets, APL has been running satellites at various pubs around South Korea and in the 2ACE online poker app (GG skin). Players also have chance at winning packages to WSOP Paradise Bahamas in December.
