Guarantee in Sight: Yawei Deng Commands 179 Day 2 Survivors; Mini Main and 6K High Roller Start Today
Day 8 of the Red Dragon Poker Tour (RDPT) Plus Jeju Summer 2026 festival at the LES A Casino saw the Red Dragon Plus Championship wrap up its opening flights, setting the stage for a massive Day 2. Meanwhile, side event trophies found homes as Guoan Yuan finally claimed his first win after an incredible run of cashes, and the festival prepares to launch both the Red Dragon Plus Mini Main Event and the prestigious Dragon Fire 6K High Roller today.
Yawei Deng Commands Day 2 Field; Guarantee Within Reach

The KRW 4,000,000 (~USD 2,640) buy-in Red Dragon Plus Championship has officially completed its four starting flights, pulling in a strong field of 506 entries. The ambitious KRW 1,800,000,000 (~USD 1,190,000) guarantee is currently just 18 entries short, but with registration remaining open for the first two levels of Day 2 today, the prize pool is fully expected to shatter that mark.

A total of 179 players will return to the felt today at 12:00 PM local time. Leading the charge is Yawei Deng, who has held the overall clubhouse lead since Day 1A with a mountain of 900,000 chips (360 big blinds). Deng, whose only cash this series so far was a 28th-place finish in the Baby Dragon Plus , is now in prime position to hunt for the biggest score of his career.

Hot on his heels is Xinyue Zhang, who topped last night’s Day 1C flight to bag 825,000 chips (330 big blinds). As one of the few women left in the field, Zhang is looking for a major breakthrough win, her only previous live cash coming from a 130th-place finish in last year’s RDPT Main Event.

Defending champion Jieming Xu is also sitting pretty. He enters Day 2 fourth in the overall counts with 567,500 chips (227 big blinds). Xu won the Red Dragon Plus Championship last April for his career-best score, and his top-five stack means he is in a premium position to navigate the path back to the winner’s circle.
For anyone looking to jump in at the last minute, late registration is open until approximately 2:15 PM. The field will play through another 10 levels today before the survivors bag up for Day 3.
First Trophies for Yuan and Naohiro

Over in the side events, Event #59: NLH Big Bounty drew 57 entries to build a KRW 73,872,000 (~USD 49,130) prize pool. After racking up eight career RDPT cashes, four of which happened right here at the Jeju Summer 2026 stop, Guoan Yuan finally got over the hump. He lifted his very first trophy and took home the KRW 14,142,000 (~USD 9,405) top prize.

In Event #60: NLH Turbo Ultra Stack , a field of 28 entries generated a KRW 23,655,000 (~USD 15,735) prize pool. After fighting through four previous final tables without a win, Arita Naohiro finally secured his first elusive RDPT trophy alongside KRW 8,975,000 (~USD 5,970).

Mini Main Event and Dragon Fire 6K High Roller Ignite Today

The tournament floor will be packed today as two major new events kick off alongside Day 2 of the Championship.
The Red Dragon Plus Mini Main Event starts today at 12:00 PM with Day 1A, featuring a KRW 2,500,000 (~USD 1,680) buy-in. For those preferring a faster pace, the Day 1B Turbo flight takes off later tonight at 6:00 PM, setting up Day 2 tomorrow.
The Dragon Fire 6K High Roller is a two-day event features a USD 6,000 buy-in, with Day 1 kicking off at 3:00 PM. Late registration stays open for 12 levels (closing around 9:45 PM), and players will battle through 8 more levels until midnight local time before bagging up for their final day.
