Day 7 of the Red Dragon Poker Tour (RDPT) Plus Jeju Summer 2026 festival at the LES A Casino saw Haohui Ma conquer the elite USD 8K Super U Challenge , extending his massive lead at the top of the SMP Player Index (SPI) Player of the Year rankings.

Meanwhile, the action heated up in the Day 1B of Red Dragon Plus Championship Main Event , where defending champion Jieming Xu bagged a monster stack to put himself in prime position for a back-to-back title defense. Over in the Lady Dragon+ event, Qiaochu Zhang outlasted a fierce field to claim her very first career tournament victory.

The second-largest buy-in of the RDPT Plus Summer Jeju 2026, the USD 8K Super U Challenge , drew an elite field of 56 entries, creating a total prize pool of USD 401,970. In the end, Haohui Ma added another massive victory to his resume, taking home USD 125,070.

The final table featured one of the rarest and craziest hands of the summer, which ultimately paved Ma’s path to the trophy.

With four players left, a massive three-way all-in erupted. Ma held the covering stack with pocket deuces, up against Peng Deng’s ace-queen and Takashi Yagura’s pocket aces. Ma defied the odds by hitting a two-outer on the flop to improve to a set, spectacularly eliminating Deng in fourth place and Yagura in third place in a single swoop.

Heads-up play began with Ma holding a 2.5-to-1 chip lead over Ye Wang . While Wang managed to close the gap, the final hand ended in a classic pre-flop cooler flip. Wang risked it all with ace-king against Ma’s pocket queens. The board brought no ace or king, and the river even improved Ma to a set to seal the win and crown him the Super U Challenge Champion.

With this victory, Haohui Ma firmly extends his lead at the #1 spot on the SPI Player of the Year race. Following a non-stop grind playing every month since early 2025, Ma has amassed more than USD 1.3 million in live earnings in just over a single year.

Zicong Jiang Tops Day 1B as Defending Champion Jieming Xu Closes In

After ten levels of tough poker spanning nearly twelve hours, the second opening flight of the Red Dragon Plus Championship Main Event is officially in the books. The KRW 4,000,000 (~USD 2,640) buy-in tournament kept bringing in the players, adding another 136 entries to the field for Day 1B. By the time the final bags came out at the end of the night, only 42 players managed to survive the day and lock up their spots for Day 2.

Zicong Jiang had an amazing run, finishing at the very top of the leaderboard with a massive 648,000 chips (259 big blinds). But the big story of the night is right behind him. Defending champion Jieming Xu  is running incredibly hot, bagging up the second-largest stack with 567,500 (227 big blinds). Yunfeng Sun also had a great day, rounding out the top three with 566,000 (226 big blinds).

Xu is proving exactly why people call him the “King of Jeju.” He won the Red Dragon Plus Championship  last April, taking home a career-best KRW 508,836,000 (~USD 344,955). To make things even crazier, he came back the very next month and won five more trophies right here in Jeju. He clearly loves playing on this island and is in a perfect position to defend his title.

For anyone who busted out yesterday, there is no need to panic. The final two opening flights are coming up today, giving everyone a couple more chances to build a stack. Plus, late registration stays open through the first two levels of Day 2, so there is still plenty of time for players to get back in the game.

Qiaochu Zhang claimed the top spot, earning KRW 9,939,000 (~USD 6,610) after defeating TLPT Circuits Main Event champion Jiawen Xue in a tough heads-up match. This milestone marks the first career tournament win for Zhang and just her second lifetime live cash.
