Poker Dream to End 2024 With a Bang in Malaysia

In July 2022, the Poker Dream live poker series debuted at the Resorts World Genting in the mountains just outside of Kuala Lumpur and the venue in Malaysia will once again be the host for the 13^th edition of the up and coming brand. Poker Dream Malaysia 13 is set to take place from November 15 to 24, 2024, and this will be the seventh edition on “home soil”.

Poker enthusiasts from near and far can look forward to a total of 56 trophy events and more than three dozen satellite tournaments on a schedule that contains something for everybody’s pocket.

Most eyes will once again be set on the Poker Dream Main Event, which comes with the usual three-tier buy-in levels and MYR 5 Million guarantee equivalent to 1.1 Million USD The MYR 2,400 (~USD 579) flights will play down to the top 7.5% of each field, whereas the price tag of MYR 3,200 (~USD 772) heats determine the top 10% in the money. The most expensive costs MYR 4,800 (~USD 1,159) and the top 15% will advance.

As usual, multiple qualifications in the money come with sweet Dream Bonus payouts to boost the bankroll. The first flight kicks off on November 18 whereas the last Day 1 flights run on November 22. On the final two days of the series, the players in the money will then determine a champion.

The first two days of the series are highlighted by the Malaysia Open, featuring buy-ins of MYR 1,000 (~USD 241) and MYR 1,500 (~USD 362) respectively – all seven of them feeding towards the guarantee of MRY 1.5 Million (~USD 349,100). Deeper pockets are required for the Single Day High Roller on November 16 (MYR 10,000 / ~USD 2,414) and Event #9 High Roller (MYR 15,000 / ~3,621) on November 17.

Low-stakes players will have already earmarked the latter date for the four available flights of Event #8 Mystery Big Bounty, which cost either MYR 2,100 (~USD 507) or MYR 1,400 (~USD 338) with at least MYR 500,000 (~USD 116,366) in guaranteed prize money up for grabs. Hot on the heels and slightly more expensive is Event #16 Mystery Bounty (MYR 2,000–3,000), featuring five starting days across November 18 and 19 with a healthy MYR 1 Million (~USD 232,778) guarantee.

The most expensive tournament on the schedule is Event #30 Super High Roller with a price tag of MYR 30,000 (~USD 7,242) and it runs from November 20 to 21, 2024. Elevated price tags are also the case for Event #42 Short Deck Ante Only (MYR 15,000 / ~USD 3,621) and Event #49 Mystery Bounty High Roller (MYR 12,000 / ~USD 2,897).

Last but not least, the tail end of the series includes two low to mid-stakes key events in Event #48 Monster Stack and Event #52 Mini Main Event. They will be held on the final two days at Genting Highlands while the cream rises to the top during the conclusion of the Poker Dream Main Event at the same time.
