Phenom Poker has launched the Bellagio Mix, a 13-game mixed poker rotation inspired by the legendary high-stakes games at Bobby’s Room in the Bellagio, Las Vegas. The lineup brings together a variety of poker formats, including two additions to the platform’s selection: Pot-Limit Super Stud 8/b and Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw.

The launch draws on the legacy of Bobby’s Room, one of poker’s best-known high-stakes venues, while giving mixed game players a dedicated rotation to explore online.

Bobby’s Room: The Home of the Big Game

Bobby’s Room became one of the most iconic venues in poker, known for hosting some of the highest-stakes cash games in Las Vegas. Located inside the Bellagio, the exclusive room was named after Bobby Baldwin, the 1978 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event champion and longtime casino executive. It opened in 2004, six years after the Bellagio first welcomed guests in 1998.

The games played there attracted some of the biggest names in poker, including Doyle Brunson, Chip Reese, and Phil Ivey. The stakes could reach extraordinary levels, with substantial sums changing hands during extended cash-game sessions. While No-Limit Hold’em was part of the high-stakes scene, Bobby’s Room also became closely associated with mixed games poker, where players had to adapt to several poker variants rather than rely on expertise in a single format.

The room’s reputation extended beyond its high stakes. It represented a poker culture built around versatility, deep strategic knowledge, and competition among elite players. Although the Bellagio renamed the room the Legends Room in 2020, Bobby’s Room remains a familiar name in poker history and a symbol of the era’s biggest cash games.

Why Mixed Game Poker Remains Unique

Unlike formats that focus on a single game, mixed game poker follows a rotation in which the format changes according to a set schedule. Depending on the mix, players may compete in Hold'em, Omaha, Stud, and draw variants during the same session. This requires a broad skill set, as players must understand the rules, strategies, and nuances of each game rather than rely on expertise in just one format.

A key to gaining an edge is identifying the variants in which opponents are less experienced and taking advantage of those opportunities to maximize expected value (EV). Players must also manage their weaknesses in games where their opponents have a stronger edge. The ability to perform consistently across different formats is what makes mixed games particularly challenging.

That variety continues to appeal to high-stakes professionals. In a recent episode of Broke Living With JRB, Patrik Antonius described himself as “kind of addicted to the mixed games”, explaining why the summer cash games kept him away from the WSOP tournament schedule. His comments offer a timely example of the appeal mixed games still hold for elite players.

For online poker players, dedicated rotations make it easier to experience that variety without switching between separate tables or formats manually.

Inside Phenom Poker’s Bellagio Mix

Phenom Poker’s Bellagio Mix brings together 13 poker games in a single rotation, covering everything from classic limit formats to big-bet and draw games. The lineup reflects the variety of games associated with Bobby’s Room, where high-stakes players tested their skills across multiple variants rather than relying on one specialty.

The rotation is divided into four categories: flop games, stud games, draw games, and big-bet games. Two variants are new additions to Phenom’s lineup, introducing capped pot-limit betting to games that mixed-game players may already know.

The two new additions stand out because they bring pot-limit betting to established mixed-game formats. Pot-Limit Super Stud 8/b combines stud with a high-low split, while Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw applies pot-limit betting to a draw game focused on making the lowest possible hand. Both are played with capped structures on Phenom.

The mix retains classic limit games alongside more action-oriented formats, creating a rotation that demands versatility across different poker disciplines. Rather than specializing in one game, players need to adjust their strategy as the format changes.

Phenom Poker’s High-Stakes Mixed Game Scene

Phenom Poker's focus on mixed games extends beyond the new Bellagio Mix. The platform has also hosted high-stakes action involving some of the best-known names in the game, including Viktor "Isildur1" Blom and Daniel "Jungleman" Cates. Their presence reflects the appeal of challenging mixed-game formats among experienced players who compete at the highest stakes.

One notable example came in April 2026, when Phenom reported that Isildur1 turned a 13,626 USDT deposit into a stack worth more than 1.75 million USDT in ten days. The run took place across high-stakes mixed-game and Pot-Limit Omaha tables on the platform.

While that run took place before the Bellagio Mix launched, it provides an example of the high-stakes mixed-game action available across the wider platform. The new 13-game rotation adds another option for players looking to test their skills across different poker variants.
