888poker returns to the European live poker scene
Live poker is alive and well across the globe with major brand 888poker taking advantage of the recovering scene as it makes an awaited return to the European market. In partnership with Grosvenor Casinos, 888poker is set to host a four-day live event from October 28th through the 31st at ‘The Vic’ – home to London’s longest-running poker room.
The 888pokerLIVE Weekend is headlined by a £50,000 Main Event featuring an entry fee of £444 across four starting flights on schedule. Players looking to potentially turn a huge profit can qualify online via the platform’s feeder satellites for essentially, a fraction of the price.
Staking feature now available on Winning Poker Network
The swings of tournament poker may be brutal on grinders, most especially when one’s on a downswing over an extended period of time. While staking has been a great alternative for those eager to minimize cost and variance, the feature remains to be fairly new in the online poker scene. Presently, the built-in staking function is only available on leading GGNetwork and has been popular amongst users for its easy-to-use buying and selling of tournament shares.
Earlier this October, the Winning Poker Network appears to be quickly keeping up with player demands and has since launched its beta staking lobby for a number of tournament offerings. The platform noted that the complex feature had undergone a series of testing over the past months and will continue to expand its tournament coverage in the coming weeks.
Aside from the new feature, the latest software update included more tournament lobby customization options and added bet-sizing settings: minimum, 3 BB, 4 BB, 5 BB, and all-in. The network’s once in-demand $215 Million Dollar Sunday has also been announced to make a return after a three-year hiatus following the introduction of its Venom series. The tournament however, has been restructured to target casual players not looking to play lengthy grinds overall. A total of 27 flights will be available throughout the week, each estimated to run for roughly four hours. The final day will see remaining players again battle through 15-minute blind levels starting from level 23 for the lion’s share of the $1,000,000 prize pool every Sunday.
