7th Beishadezhu2 – China – $ 14,433
8th MisterPro – India – $ 9,925
9th potamophobia – Canada – $ 6,825
Picking up the action from the final table, player “icho” brought in the largest stack trailed closely by waransan. After potamophobia doubled up Beishadezhu2, potamophobia (9th) became the first casualty falling to HowdyTeexas. It took 20 minutes to see another player join the rail with waransan delivering MisterPro(8th) the bad news. Several minutes later, waransan claimed a second, eliminating Beishadezhu2(7th) with a set of kings over top pair.
HowdyTeexas matched waransan in scalps, dusting LaoLalo (6th) next by cracking pocket aces with pocket queens turned set. However, HowdyTeexas’s rise was fleeting, immediately sent packing by DameDolla with a commanding kings over ten-nine suited. At four remaining, geladinhaRLS grabbed a double off icho with ace-king dominating ace-queen. geladinhaRLS shipped another double with ace-king once again prevailing to waransan’s ace-queen. The hot running geladinhaRLS proceeded to eliminate icho(4th) to take the chip lead for the first time.
Several hands in, the final three players reached a deal then played for the ring. Waransan grinded down both players, scooping numerous pots without a showdown to eventually regain the lead. From there, waransan railed geladinhaRLS (3rd). The first all in of heads up was on a board with waransan mid pair slightly ahead of DameDolla’s draw. The turn and river didn’t produce the outs DameDollaneeded to fall in 2nd place and award waransan the WSOPC ring.
WSOPC Ring Event #17: MAIN EVENT – schimmelgodx – $ 1,271,217.69
The highlight of the series was none other than the WSOPC MAIN EVENT. A week leading up to it, famed players began flooding the virtual felt, each one looking to capture the prestigious title. After twelve and a half hours, coming out very rich and victorious was player “schimmelgodx” overcoming a 3:1 deficit at heads up against Biereux. schimmelgodx shipped the lone seven figure $ 1,271,217.69 first prize. In fact, schimmelgodx was interested in discussing a deal both when behind and when in the lead, however, Biereux was hunting for the whole shebang. Dominguez continued to balloon by railing Gius2020(9th). Biereux eliminated wy77 (8th)with pocket queens dominating pocket fives then lost a chunk of it to schimmelgodx when pocket eights fell flat to pocket queens. Next showdown, CoRoNaTi railed MaillouL(7th) then was scalped by Igutu. Schimmelgodx doubled up again, this time through Igutu. Schimmelgodx nearly met the rail against tepuseenFD with nine behind tens, however, two nines turned up for quads to double up for a third time.
Biereux sent tepuseenFD(5th) crashing on a a lucky runner runner trips to bounce out top pair. From there, the chip lead moved from player to player.
