The tournament generated a prize pool of KRW 2,100,000,000 (~USD 1,400,000), with Xue defeating fellow Chinese player Haiyang Wang heads-up after entering the duel with a commanding chip advantage.
Xue’s final day included several pivotal moments, including eliminating Yang Yi on the final table bubble before later knocking out Songlin Li, Di Jin, and eventually Shi Kai in one of the biggest pots of the tournament.
Shi had entered the day as chip leader and eventually finished third for KRW 160,000,000 after his suited connector failed to improve against Xue’s ace-king in a massive preflop confrontation three-handed.

The heads-up battle briefly tightened after Wang picked off a bluff holding flopped two pair, but Xue quickly regained control. In the final hand, Wang committed his stack with pocket nines against Xue’s trip sevens and could not find one of the remaining two outs needed to survive.
