Gods of Poker Appoints Two-Time WSOP Champion Hanh Tran as Mix Game Advisor
Press Release

Gods of Poker (GOP) is proud to announce the appointment of Hanh Tran as its official Mix Game Advisor, underscoring the brand’s commitment to expanding into multi-variant formats with expert guidance.
Tran, a two-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) champion, secured his first bracelet in the 2018 WSOP $1,500 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw event in Las Vegas and his second at WSOP Europe in the €550 Pot Limit Omaha 8-Handed event. His expertise in mixed and draw variants positions him ideally to adapt GOP’s Cronus principles to new game types.
Bringing Expertise to a New Frontier
As GOP gears up for its inaugural season, General Manager and Executive Tournament Director Lloyd Fontillas explained the strategic value of the partnership:
I’ll admit, I don’t know enough about the finer details of mix game rulings and formats. That’s exactly why I wanted Hanh on board—to help us build these games properly, from structure to rulings, ensuring fairness and excitement. He’ll also participate in the mix game event to evaluate the Cronus structure firsthand.
Shared Vision for Player Experience
Tran shared his enthusiasm:
What stood out to me about Gods of Poker is the way they think. They’re not just running tournaments—they’re trying to improve the experience for players at every level. That’s the kind of thinking I want to be part of.
Expanding the Cronus Philosophy
GOP’s Cronus Structure emphasizes efficiency, balance, and meaningful competition. Under Tran’s guidance, these principles will enhance mixed-game tournaments, focusing on skill, rotation balance, and time management. This aligns with the growing popularity of mixed games in Asia, particularly Japan, where GOP aims to introduce innovative, playable structures.
