The 2025 GGPoker WSOP Online Main Event once again lived up to its reputation as the biggest and best online poker tournament. With a spectacular 5,961 entries and an unbelievable $28.3 million prize pool, this year’s $5,000 buy-in WSOP Online Main Event is officially the third-largest online poker tournament of all time.

The star-studded final table, streamed live with commentary from Jeff Gross and poker legend Phil Hellmuth, showcased some of the best talents the game has to offer. More than $15 million was distributed at the final table alone, with six players walking away as millionaires.

The Final Table

Heading into the final table of the 2025 WSOP Online Main Event, CoinPoker Pro Benjamin “bencb” Rolle held a commanding chip lead with 95 big blinds, positioning him as the clear frontrunner against the remaining field.

Close behind was Finland’s Anatoly Zlotnikov with 80 big blinds, while Canadian Santiago Plante, fresh off a recent major GGMillion$ win, came in third on the leaderboard with 57 big blinds.

In the middle were players like China’s Zengxiang Chen (39BB), Argentina’s Marco Perez (34BB), and Germany’s Daniel Smiljkovic (58BB), a poker pro with a WSOP bracelet and over $5 million in career earnings.

The shorter stacks, including Amit Ben Yacov (33BB), Andreas Christoforou (34BB), and Austria’s Felix Rabas (19BB), were eager to build chips early to stay alive in the race for the top prize.

With his dominant chip position and recent strong performances, including back-to-back WSOP final tables, Rolle was the favorite among both fans and betting markets to take down the title.

A Record-Breaking Series on GGPoker

While the event narrowly missed last year’s record turnout, it once again crushed its $25 million guarantee and reaffirmed GGPoker as the home of the world’s biggest online poker tournaments.

The WSOP Online Main Event has now created 28 millionaires across six editions, awarding nearly $20 million to champions alone.

Since debuting in 2020 with a Guinness World Record–setting prize pool, the WSOP Online on GGPoker has continued to dominate the record books. All five of the largest online poker tournaments in history happened on the GG Poker platform.

Spotlight – Benjamin “bencb” Rolle

Benjamin Rolle , known online as “bencb789,” is widely considered one of the best online tournament poker players in history, having amassed over $35 million in online cashes throughout his career.

The German poker pro first made headlines by defeating Fedor Holz in the 2016 WCOOP $102K Super High Roller, pocketing $1.17 million. Since then, he has become a household name among online poker players.

Rolle’s approach to poker is analytical and relentless, consistently adapting his strategies.

His achievements go beyond just playing poker; he founded the renowned training platform Raise Your Edge, which helps thousands of players elevate their game through elite coaching and strategic resources.

This year’s WSOP Online Main Event win marks a career milestone: it’s bencb789’s first WSOP bracelet, coming off the heels of last year’s final table appearance, where he finished eighth.

Beyond his remarkable victory and iconic runs, Rolle is admired for his community engagement, insightful Twitch streams, and leadership in poker education, making his 2025 triumph a win celebrated by players and fans around the world.

I fell in love with poker during the poker boom when I was 14 years old. My friends and I immediately started playing No Limit Texas Hold 'em sit-and-gos. When I turned 18, I began playing live cash games. Later, I dived into online multi-table tournaments, and following some success there, I ventured into live tournaments as well. Here at Somuchpoker, I write about my favourite game (the world’s most popular card game), including best poker moments, news, and the best online poker sites and deals.
