Game of Gold premiered in November 2023 as a joint production between global online poker room  GGPoker and the   Poker After Dark team, combining high-stakes poker with the kick of reality TV. The series, which consists of 12 episodes,

The inaugural show will be removed from YouTube and broadcast exclusively on Sportsnet 360 for Canadian audiences (and those using VPN services) in November 2025. However, the rest of the world might have to wait a bit to watch it on a streaming platform; until then, you can still watch episodes of the show on Pokerfuse.

The series introduced a new and distinctive format to the poker scene, hosted by renowned poker broadcaster Ali Nejad, and took place in Seoul, South Korea. Sixteen top players, including Daniel Negreanu, Jason Koon, and Maria Ho, took the spotlight, competing in various poker formats, such as Sit & Go, Heads-Up games, Indian Poker, and standard tournament play. The real twist was the survival angle; players who fell short at the poker table were knocked out of the show.

The series is a mix between traditional poker gameplay and reality TV drama, with $456,000 awarded to the winner at the finish line. The poker rooms’ Global Ambassador, Daniel Negreanu , described the show’s innovative concept as a revolutionary blend of the best parts of traditional poker shows with new, exciting elements.
