After 16 previous cashes without a title, Austrian pro Rezaei finally claimed his first Triton Poker Series trophy at Jeju. In a marathon final table that stretched into the early hours of Sunday morning, he outlasted a stacked field to earn a career-high score of $1,939,000.

Both players entered the final duel still searching for their first Triton trophy despite consistent deep runs on the tour. Rezaei, a 31-year-old World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner, had long been knocking on the door, while Boika had built a reputation as a dangerous regular with multiple final table appearances but no title to show for it.

This time, it was Rezaei who found a way through. He managed to stop Boika’s surge from short stack to chip leader and closed out the win deep into the night, with play stretching close to 3 a.m. local time.

The final hand came down to a classic cooler. Rezaei’s ace-queen held against Boika’s king-queen after Boika committed his stack, with Rezaei pairing his ace while Boika missed his draw.

Reflecting on his past attempts and first win, Rezaei said,

2025 was great. I tried to get my hands on one of these trophies, but I couldn’t quite manage that. So it feels pretty good to have it on my first live stop this year. I really wanted one of these and now I have my first Triton trophy.

The win didn’t come easy. Rezaei had to navigate a stacked final table and at one point found himself short before a key double-up shifted the momentum. A crucial flip against Nick Petrangelo helped him build a stack, and from there, things started to fall into place.

I got one lucky spot and took the flip. After that, everything went my way. I was hitting the right flops and just building from there.

Variance, as Rezaei admitted, played a role, but this time it worked in his favor. After multiple near misses, he finally added a Triton title to his resume, joining his WSOP bracelet, EPT title, Merit Poker win, and other major career victories.
