Dan Dvoress Denies Jason Koon 13th Title in Latest Triton SHR Series Highlights
The high-stakes action at the Les A Casino in Jeju continues to deliver historic storylines. As the Triton Super High Roller Series Jeju 2026 moves into its first week, Tuesday night saw a clash of titans in the Short Deck arena and a breakthrough victory for a rising star in the Hold’em ranks.
With the Triton ONE festival now concluded, the focus remains entirely on the flagship Triton SHR Series, where records are being challenged and new champions are being crowned.
Dan Dvoress Denies Koon to Secure Triton Hat-Trick

Canada’s Dan Dvoress completed a remarkable “hat-trick” of titles on Tuesday night, pulling off one of the most difficult feats in poker: defeating 12-time champion Jason Koon heads-up.
Event #22: $100,000 Short Deck drew 46 entries, creating a massive $4,600,000 prize pool. By the time the final three remained, stacks were shallow and the variance of Short Deck was at its peak. Dvoress, who now has titles in Short Deck, PLO, and No Limit Hold’em, added $1,380,000 to his career earnings while denying Koon a record-extending 13th trophy.
Dvoress remained humble despite the victory over the tour’s most decorated player:
“It was a pleasant but unpleasant experience… I try to trust my intuition, but I realized I don’t really know what I’m doing and there were so many people at this table who do. And that’s an uncomfortable experience, but you’ve just got to embrace it.”
Koon took home $997,000 for his runner-up finish, while Winfred Yu finished third for $646,000.

Aren Bezhanyan Graduates to Super High Roller Champion

The “Triton Pathway” found its perfect success story on Tuesday as Armenia’s Aren Bezhanyan captured his first Super High Roller Series title. Bezhanyan, who used the recent Triton ONE festival to build momentum with six cashes in nine events, proved he belongs at the highest stakes by taking down Event #1: $20,000 NLH.
Navigating a massive field of 247 entries, Bezhanyan defeated Latvia’s Aleks Ponakovs heads-up to secure a career-best $990,000 payday. He becomes the first-ever Triton champion from Armenia, demonstrating the effectiveness of the tour’s progression model for ambitious players.
“I have dreamt of winning such a tournament for such a long time,” Bezhanyan said during his trophy presentation. “Many times I got close to winning, but only now I have done it. It’s hard to put into words all the emotions I am feeling.”
