Leaving no time to rest, another day of action landed across the felt with the VND 5,000,000,000 (~USD 197,820) guaranteed Vietnam National Cup headlining the opening day games. Three of six flights ran its course, and attracted a combined total of 186 entries, ponying up the VND 9,000,000 (~USD 355) buy-in. Each heat played down to ITM at top 14% of the field, with only 28 survivors advancing through the Final Day.

Flight B attracted the largest field of 92 entries, bringing in an additional 13 runners to Flight A’s dozen-qualifier list. Only two players managed to breach the 400K mark, with Thailand’s Wipat Udomkanjananan stacking the lead with 439,000, just slightly above initial chip leader Nhut Do Van’s 433,000 chip count. China’s Xiatong Yu rounds up the third spot across the list, having bagged the second largest stack across the Flight B games.
