APT Jeju 2026 Approaching Soon: 135 Events and KRW 5.2B GTD

Seven days remain until the Asian Poker Tour (APT) returns to Jeju Island in South Korea for its latest stop of the tour’s 20th anniversary season.

APT Jeju 2026 gets underway on September 25 at LES A Casino inside Jeju Shinhwa World , with the expanded 13-day festival running through October 7.

There is more than KRW 5.2 billion (~USD 3.8 million) in guaranteed prize pools across a schedule featuring 135 tournaments, with the KRW 2.7 million (~USD 1,850) APT Main Event at the center of the action. This time, the Main Event comes with a KRW 2.2 billion (~USD 1.5 million) guarantee.

APT also returns to an island where its previous two Main Events have successively broken the record for the largest poker tournament ever held in South Korea.

APT Jeju 2026 Expands to 13 Days

APT has added three more days to its previous Jeju offering, giving players nearly two weeks of tournament action at LES A Casino.

The wider program offers considerably more than No-Limit Hold’em. Omaha, Stud, Draw, Mixed Games and dedicated Women’s Events are spread throughout the festival, alongside a busy High Roller schedule and some of APT’s more unusual formats.

The action starts on September 25 with the KRW 900,000 Korea National Cup. Three opening flights are available on the first day before the tournament reaches its conclusion on Saturday, September 26, with KRW 200 million guaranteed.

The stakes quickly rise from there. The KRW 1.2 million Mystery Bounty Hunter and KRW 15 million APT Super High Roller both begin on September 26, carrying guarantees of KRW 400 million and KRW 500 million respectively.

KRW 2.2 Billion APT Jeju Main Event Takes Center Stage

The festival’s biggest tournament gets underway on Sunday, September 27, with the KRW 2.7 million APT Main Event running through Saturday, October 3.

Players have four live starting flights to choose from, with each entrant receiving a 40,000 starting stack.

Flight A features ten 60-minute levels, while Flight B begins with six 45-minute levels before moving to 60 minutes. Flights C and D provide faster alternatives, starting with 30-minute levels before increasing to 45 minutes.

Registration remains open through the first level of Day 2, when play moves to 60-minute levels.

There is also more than the KRW 2.2 billion guarantee at stake. Five seats to the season-ending APT Championship Main Event will be awarded through the Main Event alone.

The top three finishers will each receive a seat, while two more will be awarded through random draws on Day 3 and Day 4.

12 APT Championship Seats Available in Jeju

A total of 12 seats worth USD 10,000 each will be awarded to the APT Championship Main Event in Taipei.

Five come from the APT Jeju Main Event, with another seven currently attached to major tournaments across the schedule:

The USD 10,000 APT Championship Main Event runs from November 23 to 27 and holds a USD 5 million guaranteed prize pool, giving Jeju players several different routes into the biggest tournament of APT’s season.

High Rollers and New Events Across the Schedule

Players looking for bigger buy-ins will have plenty of options once the festival is underway.

The KRW 37 million (~USD 25,000) Superstar Challenge runs from September 28 to 29 and is the largest buy-in currently listed on the schedule.

The two-day High Roller – Ultra Stack also begins on September 28 for KRW 4.5 million, while Event #54 brings another KRW 5 million High Roller from September 30 to October 1.

On October 1, the KRW 15 million Single Day Super High Roller joins the schedule alongside the KRW 3.7 million Zodiac Classic, which carries a KRW 500 million guarantee.

The KRW 1.5 million Mini Main Event follows on October 2 with KRW 300 million guaranteed, before the APT High Roller begins on October 3. The current APT schedule lists a KRW 5 million buy-in and KRW 700 million guarantee for the two-day Lion Trophy event.

There are also several additions later in the festival, including the KRW 1.5 million Baby Zodiac Classic, a Sunday Superstack Big Bounty and the Micro Main Event.

APT Returns After Record-Breaking Jeju Main Events

APT will return to Jeju with two consecutive record-breaking Main Events behind it.

In 2025, Abraham Ceesvin topped a field of 1,693 entries to win the APT Jeju Main Event, at the time setting a new record for the largest poker tournament held in South Korea.

Only a few months later, the APT Jeju Classic 2026 went one better.

A total of 1,718 entries were recorded in the Main Event, producing a prize pool of KRW 3,414,009,600 (~USD 2.37 million).

Canada’s William Li emerged as champion, defeating Shintaro Sato heads-up to collect KRW 579,649,600 (~USD 402,535) and the APT Gold Lion.

Back to LES A Casino at Jeju Shinhwa World

All tournament action will take place at LES A Casino , located inside the Jeju Shinhwa World resort complex.

The venue, formerly known as Landing Casino, has become a regular destination for some of the biggest poker festivals in South Korea .

Jeju Shinhwa World includes several hotels, restaurants and entertainment options within the resort, while the casino is around a 45-60 minute drive from Jeju International Airport.

Players heading to the island should also remember that entry to LES A Casino is restricted to eligible guests aged 19 or older carrying accepted identification. International visitors should bring a valid foreign passport.
