South Korea’s Hyeonsik Yun became the first player to win the PokerStars shard trophy at the ongoing APPT Cambodia in Phnom Penh. Yun entered the final day as chip leader, lost the edge to Michael Kim Falcon, then regained it on a cooler with full house over straight and never looked back. On the final hand, Yun won with a dramatic straight on the river, dusting Falcon’s ladies to seize the US$ 44,350 top prize.

The Asia Pacific Poker Tour is in the Kingdom of Khmer for the third annual APPT Cambodia held at the luxurious NagaWorld Integrated Resorts. Running since November 15 until November 25, 2024, the APPT National attracted a field of 278 entries across three flights with 39 players cashing in on the US$ 216,775 prize pool. This was the second guaranteed event that surpassed its mark following NagaWorld Kick Off.

Oliver Biles Wins APPT Hyper Turbo

All smiles for England’s Oliver Biles as he hoisted the PokerStars spade for his victory at the APPT Hyper Turbo. Biles outlasted the 15 returning players of the 91 total entries. Based on Hendon Mob, this was his first live title. In addition, Biles collected a cool US$ 6,945.
