Alan Keating’s Crushing High Stakes Poker Bluff Costs him a $1.3M Pot
After a memorable win against Doug Polk on the first day of High Stakes Poker livestream, Alan Keating blew it all away with the priciest bluffs ever.
A brilliant call was made by Alan Keating to win a monster pot against Doug Polk on the first day of PokerGO’s High Stakes Poker livestream. Unluckily, he blew it away and even more in one of the priciest bluffs ever broadcast on Sunday.
The fan favorite of the Hustler Casino Live showed up strong for the $200/$400 no-limit hold’em cash game, and sent a big amount of chips to Sam Kiki, who thanked Keating in a tweet for his “new investment property”.
Alan Keating Attracts Rags
Luck turned away from Keating after he bluffed away on High Stakes Poker, one of the largest hands ever, with nearly the same hand he won a $657,000 pot with against Polk on Sunday.

The unreal hand had a $6,400 straddle on and began with “Senior Tilt” Kiki, quickly raising to $30,000 with A♦5♦ from the big blind. Keating called with 8♠7♥ after Santhosh Suvarna, one of the straddles, holding the beast 4♦3♠ in the big straddle, only a day after playing 4♠2♠ to perfection.
The flop was dealt Q♠5♣5♥, hitting only Kiki in any significant way. Having no interest in snowplaying trips, Senior Tilt fired out a wager of $30,000. Suvarna-having nothing-folded. Keating on the same position as Suvarna, called from in-position, clearly planning to act later in the hand.
On the 9♥ turn, neither player improved. Kiki, assuming his opponent won’t find a solution to bluff him off the hand. To set the trap, Kiki decided to check, and Keating fell right into it by tossing a bet worth $45,000 American dollars.
Even though Kiki check-raised to $125,000, Keating wasn’t scared away. Not ready to fold a pot that reached $323,000, he made the call, drawing stone dead.

“Oh, dear heavens!”
-said Nick Schulman , High Stakes Poker commentator, after Keating called the raise.
Nothing changed with the 2♠ on the river. Setting one last trap, Senior Tilt decided to check. Sitting on four-high and with big ambitions to pull off one of the most legendary bluffs in High Stakes Poker, Keating put his opponent all in for $446,300. Nearly beating him into the pot, Kiki made the call to win a $1,295,000 hand, which turned out to be the second-largest in the poker show’s history. Kiki even rubbed a bit of salt in the wound on X about Keating following the hand.
Keating is still the recipient of High Stakes Poker‘s largest-ever live poker pot, taking down a hand worth $1,412,500 earlier this year.
PokerGO has broadcast two days of a High Stakes Poker livestream with a poker star-stacked table, which included Senior Tilt, Keating, Polk, Suvarna, Jennifer Tilly , Justin Gavri, and Andrew Robl .
