In this article, we deliver you a couple of selected poker videos of the past week.

Phil Ivey Misreads His Hand in the WSOP Main Event

Here’s a little morale booster for everyone who made an embarrassing mistake at the poker table: even the best of the best does it sometimes. 10-time WSOP gold bracelet winner, online cash game crusher, all-around poker legend Phil Ivey can attest to that. In a hand against Jordan Smith in the 2009 WSOP Main Event, he failed to notice he made a flush on the river. When the action went check-check and he was shown a pair of Aces, he simply mucked his hand and forfeited the pot he already won! You can watch the peculiar incident below, presented by the PokerGO YouTube channel.

Doug Polk is Back with the News

Doug Polk still has one of the most subscribed poker channels on YouTube, despite rarely posting on it these days. However, it’s still more than the “no more poker videos ever again” he promised us over a year ago. This time, he returned to a format he used to do a lot of in the early days of his channel: poker news highlights and opinion. His fans like to call these “Polker News”. In this one, he covers Johnny Chan’s Houston poker club being shut down with player funds tied up; the partypoker controversy about pros getting fewer buttons and cutoffs in their fast forward games; and Phil Galfond’s jab at him on Twitter. Take a view below.

The Top 5 Weirdest Poker Calls by Poker Xpress

For our weekly poker video compilation usually provided by PokerStars on YouTube, let’s visit another channel this time. It’s Poker Xpress, who picked out for you the 5 weirdest calls ever made. The video features flatting with 9-high on the river, a big all-in call pre-flop with 9-high (which, by the way, worked out for the player), as well as another big all-in call pre-flop, this time with J2 off-suit (and another win for another ambitious caller). Mike Sexton and Phil Hellmuth also make quick cameos.

Mike Matusow’s Latest Podcast

The ever controversial Mike Matusow released the latest episode of his podcast, The Mouthpiece. He too covers Johnny Chan’s club closng down in Texas, just like Polk did. However, Matusow takes it a step further and expresses his intent to buy this club and reopen it under his management. He elaborates that he’s been wanting to leave Las Vegas for a while, and this would be a great opportunity to do just that. Whether or not this deal will go through, we’ll find out in the next few weeks. “The Mouth” also touches is on other subjects, such as his World Series performance, the WSOP leaving the Rio, and his home game. Enjoy!
