Aditya Sushant Wins Ultra Stack on Poker Dream Debut as Guoliang Wei Claims High Roller Mystery Bounty
Aditya Sushant made an immediate impression on his Poker Dream debut, winning the Ultra Stack at Poker Dream 26 Malaysia in Genting Highlands for MYR 142,000 (~USD 35,000). The Indian player outlasted a field of 474 entries before overcoming Yun Rong Cheong in a heads-up battle to secure his first Poker Dream trophy.
The festival also crowned two more champions, with bracelet winner Guoliang Wei taking down the High Roller Mystery Bounty after an ICM deal and Yi Xuan Fong winning the High Roller Single Day for MYR 238,000 (~USD 59,500), his biggest live tournament cash to date.
Meanwhile, the three-flight Mystery Bounty attracted 346 entries and generated MYR 753,560 (~USD 184,500) in prize money, nearly doubling its MYR 400,000 guarantee. Attention now turns to the Main Event, which begins October 15 with the first three of its 10 starting flights.
Aditya Sushant Wins Ultra Stack on Poker Dream Debut

India's Aditya Sushant enjoyed a memorable first visit to Poker Dream, taking down the Ultra Stack for MYR 142,000 (~USD 35,000) after a field of 474 entries created a MYR 694,278 (~USD 170,000) prize pool.
The MYR 300,000 guarantee was more than doubled as 66 players returned for Day 2. Sushant entered the final table among the top three stacks before moving into second place and adopting a patient approach as the field narrowed.
The final table moved quickly in its early stages, with four players eliminated within the first hour. Sushant eventually reached heads-up against Singapore's Yun Rong Cheong, where the lead changed hands before the Indian player secured the title.

"Feeling very elated. Very happy. This trophy is so nice. How can you not be happy?" Sushant said after the win.
Sushant explained that he had travelled to Malaysia looking for a change of venue and a new experience. It was his first time in the country as well as his first Poker Dream series, and he hoped to combine poker with travel.
"It's been quite nice. I think Poker Dream does a good job running a nice ship over here. Good crowds, friendly people, and the dealers are good. I mean, it's been great," he said.
The heads-up battle proved swingy. Sushant initially held a slight lead before Cheong doubled up to move ahead. Sushant then recovered with ace-three against Cheong's queen-jack in a preflop all-in, pairing his ace on the flop to double up and regain the lead.

From there, Sushant gradually ground down his opponent. On the final hand, Cheong moved all-in with eight-seven against Sushant's pocket eights. Sushant flopped a set, leaving Cheong drawing dead and sealing the victory.
"I don't know how special, but it's pretty special because it's always special to win a live tournament. This one's got a really nice trophy, and I haven't won a live tournament in some time now. So it's always nice to win, you know," he said.

Latvia's Romans Lihacovs finished third, adding another deep run to his series after winning a Heads-Up event earlier in the festival. Malaysia's Isaac Phua, celebrating his birthday, finished fourth.
Sushant now plans to focus on the Main Event, which offers multiple starting flights and another opportunity to build his Dream Bonus 3.0 points.
"The Main Event begins tomorrow, and the Poker Dream structure is such that you just have to keep going at it, you know. So I'll probably be spending a lot of time playing all the Main Event flights starting tomorrow."

Mystery Bounty Nears Double Its Guarantee

The three-flight Mystery Bounty also delivered a strong turnout, drawing 346 entries and creating a MYR 753,560 (~USD 184,500) prize pool, nearly doubling the event's MYR 400,000 guarantee.
The tournament adds another bounty event to a schedule that has continued to draw substantial fields across different buy-in levels, with players now turning their attention to the festival's biggest event.
Main Event Kicks Off with Three Starting Flights

The Main Event gets underway on October 15 at Genting Highlands, with the first three of 10 starting flights giving players their first shot at a share of the MYR 4 million (~USD 1 million) guarantee.
Players can choose between two buy-in options, MYR 3,200 and MYR 4,800, with both offering a 30,000-chip starting stack. The main difference is how far each flight plays: the MYR 3,200 flights stop when 10% of the field remains, while the MYR 4,800 flights play down to 15%. Day 1A starts at noon, with registration closing at 8:15 PM.

Dream Bonus 3.0 gives players another reason to take multiple shots at qualifying. Those who advance with two or more bags can count their stacks toward the bonus, with different formulas applied to the second bag and any additional bags. However, if a player qualifies for Day 2 more than once, only their largest stack carries forward, while the smaller stack is removed from play.
Re-entries remain open until registration closes, so players can take another shot if their first attempt doesn't go to plan.
With Sushant already securing his first Poker Dream trophy and several other champions crowned, the MYR 4 million guaranteed Main Event now takes centre stage as Poker Dream 26 Malaysia continues through October 19.
