Only five minutes into the 23rd level, WPT Main Event Day 3 action wrapped up following the exit of Uzbekistan's Valeriy Pak, leaving the 667-entry field down to 24 players. China's Dong Li capped the day with the lead, having dominated the games from start to finish. Li kicked off Day 3 amongst the top ranks and took the lead by the second break of the day. Li wielded his big stack with ability and continued his ascent level per level, to eventually reach bagging time with a towering 4,500,000 (112 BB) chip count. Chenxiang Miao follows behind with 3,840,000 (96 BB), joined by Yong Li with 2,315,000 (57 BB), to round up the top three counts.

Action will resume tomorrow, November 21st, 12 noon with the Day 4 games set to play down to the final six players.

Valeriy Pak opened 90,000 on the button and saw Yukako Hiroi defend his big blind. On flop K♣ 2♣ 5♦ , Pak continued for 90,000, and called 110,000 more following a check raise from his opponent. Hiroi barreled another 250,000 on turn 9♦ and a final all-in on river 6♥ . Pak called down with midpair 9♠ 7♠ for his last 170,000, and headed for the rails in 25th finish as Hiroi revealed two pair K♦ 6♣ .

One more elimination is due before the day closes at three tables remaining onto Day 4. Dong Li continues to be in the lead with a massive 4,410,000 chip count, followed by Chenxiang Miao at a distance.

Chenxiang Miao opened on the hijack and snap called Yuan Yu's 580,000 all-in. In rough shape, Yu fell short as a king high board K♠ T♠ 2♦ 9♥ 7♥ further improved his opponent to a set.

Yong Li fired another three bet to 155,000, this time against button Chenxiang Miao. Miao continued to flop T♦ 6♦ 8♥ and faced a 75,000 cbet from the aggressor. Miao raised to 225,000 yet folded after Li pulled a heftier 400,000.

Kwok Chun Ng defended his 65,000 open and called a raise from Yong Li behind for 70,000 more. On board J♦ T♥ 6♠ Q♠ 4♥ , Ng check called two streets - 70,000 and 90,000 and arrived at showdown after Li checked back the river. Ng tabled K♣ J♣ , no good against Li's top pair A♣ Q♥ .

Valeriy Pak opened to 60,000 on the hijack, followed by a raise to 175,000 from Xinyu Shu right behind. Pak clapped back to 275,000, yet folded after Shu pushed all-in for 525,000 total.

Chenxiang Miao opened from utg+1 and called off a 325,000 all-in from Toshiya Tamaru. Slightly behind, Miao caught up by the turn 8♣ 4♠ 3♦ J♥ 9♣ and delivered Tamaru's bust with top pair shortly after.

Yukako Hiroi opened utg and called a 130,000 three bet from Yuan Yu behind. On flop K♠ 7♣ 5♣ , Hiroi check raised to 165,000 and saw Yu continue to turn Q♦ . Both checked it through to river T♦ , where Hiroi led all-in for 475,000. Yu used up one time bank, and eventually slipped his hand in the muck.

Bofei Lin opened from utg+1 and saw Chenxiang Miao on the big blind complete. On flop 4♠ 6♥ 9♣ , Lin continued for 45,000, and called 80,000 more following a check raise from his opponent. Miao barreled another 225,000 on turn 2♣ , and convinced Lin to lay it down.

Zhikang Dai defended his big blind against Yiyu Zhou's button and headed to flop 5♣ 9♥ 6♠ . Both checked it through to turn K♣ where Zhou bet 40,000. Dai check raised to 100,000, and led a final 325,000 on river 8♦ . Zhou failed to continue, shipping the pot to his opponent.

Valeriy Pak opened on the button and called off Xinghui Zhao's 380,000 all-in. A favorite to win, Zhao instead bowed out as board 4♣ Q♣ 4♠ K♣ 7♠ landed his opponent trip fours to take the win.

Ying Song committed her last 365,000 with A♥ K♣ and ran smack into Zhikang Dai's A♠ A♦ . In rough shape, board 7♠ 3♥ 4♦ Q♠ 7♦ offered no help for Song, eliminating her from the games.

Andrew Matahira opened on the cutoff, called behind by Xinyu Shu along with the big blind. Action on flop K♦ Q♦ 7♣ was checked to Shu, who bet 95,000. Matahira put in the call, and checked turn 7♠ once more. Shu checked it back, but decided to bet 120,000 on river K♥ . Matahira found the call with A♦ Q♥ and claimed the pot as Shu flipped over 2♣ 2♦ .

A limp pot blind vs blind dealt flop K♥ Q♠ 4♣ . Chuang Hao led 30,000, called behind by Yong Li. On turn 5♥ , Hao opted to check call 55,000, and tank fold river 2♣ after Li fired a final 55,000.

Yiyu Zhou opened to 50,000 from utg, joined by both players on the blinds to flop Q♥ 8♦ 7♣ . Action checked to Zhou, who bet 100,000. Ying Song put in the call, and went on tank call Zhou's 225,000 all-in on turn 2♦ .

Zhou tabled top pair A♦ Q♣ , ahead of Song's midpair A♥ 8♥ , and shipped the pot as river 7♥ completed the board.

With a late position and two calls in front, big blind Maolin Song squeezed all-in for 450,000, and was challenged by caller Chenxiang Miao. Dominated, Song crashed shortly, having failed to catch up on board Q♥ T♦ 7♣ 6♥ 5♠ .

Zhongyao Li opened to 50,000 from the lojack, and was met with a 175,000 three bet from Yong Li on the button. Zhongyao Li answered with another raise to 425,000, and picked up the pot after his opponent tank folded.

Facing an open and a call, Sergei Kim moved all-in for 540,000 on the big blind, and was called by Ying Song with a pocket pair. Running a flip, Song instantly spiked a set on flop 9♦ 3♦ 5♠ , yet booked the loss as the runout 8♠ K♠ landed Kim a backdoor flush for the win.

The WPT Main Event field is down to 39 players with fifteen more eliminations to go before the day wraps up. China's Dong Li has so far taken over the lead, being the sole runner to crack the 2 million threshold.

Ruibin Li flicked in his last 25,000 and was met with two raises behind, Yukako Hiroi for 65,000, followed by another one from Dong Li to 150,000. Hiroi continued to flop K♠ Q♠ T♥ , and called 60,000 for the side pot. On turn A♦ , Dong Li check folded against Hiroi's all-in, leaving the two to showdown.

River A♠ completed the board, sealing Ruibin Li's elimination from the Main Event games.

Zhongyao Li defended his big blind against Tianjiao Fang's hijack open, and went on to check raise 110,000 on flop 5♥ 9♠ 2♦ . Fang continued to turn 6♦ but eventually folded after Li gunned for another 150,000.

Dingding Guan stuffed his 225,000 stack in from the hijack with A♣ 8♦ and faced Chenxiang Miao's A♦ 7♦ behind. In search of a double up, Guan managed to claim one as his opponent missed to find a third diamond on board Q♦ 9♦ 2♠ 3♣ K♠ .

With 250,000 in the pot across board 3♣ 5♠ Q♦ A♠ 3♠ , Dong Li pulled a check raise to 350,000 following a 130,000 bet from Yukako Hiroi. Hiroi tanked and eventually laid it down, shipping Li another boost to his already healthy stack.

Junwei Gao open shoved 320,000 and was met with another all-in behind from Tianjiao Fang. Flipping for his tournament life, Gao was instantly left drawing slim right on the flop K♥ Q♥ 8♣ , with the runout J♣ 5♣ being of no help.

Xiaoyun Li defended his big blind vs Zhikang Dai's utg open, and check jammed 230,000 in on flop J♣ 3♠ 2♣ . Dai happily put in the call with A♣ A♦ , and delivered the bust shortly after Li's J♥ 9♥ failed to improve on runout Q♦ A♥ .

Chenxiang Miao opened to 45,000 on the button and called off Yuchun Chen's 450,000 jam. In for a race for a 62 BB pot, Miao scooped it all, having ran trip queens on board Q♥ 9♠ 5♣ Q♠ 2♦ .

Bofei Lin defended his utg open against Jie Zheng's 85,000 three bet, and went on to check call another 55,000 on flop J♦ 8♦ 4♣ . The two arrived at showdown shortly after turn T♦ and 8♣ were checked through. Lin showed J♠ 9♠ , short against Zheng's Q♥ Q♠ .

Shuang Li opened to 35,000 on the button and saw Zhongyao Li defend his big blind. On flop 4♠ K♣ 7♣ , the two went back and forth, leading Zhongyao Li to make the final call for Shuang Li's 345,000 all-in. Shuang Li reveals top pair K♥ Q♦ , crushed against his opponent's two pair 7♦ 4♣ all the way down to turn T♥ and river 9♣ .

Facing an early open, Erdun Xu shoved all-in for 290,000 and saw Andrew Matahira behind push likewise. Initial raiser opted out, leaving the two to run board T♥ 9♥ 4♦ 3♥ 8♠ . Matahira's pocket pair held for the win, sending Xu out in 54th place finish.

Big blind Xinyu Shu called a 50,000 open from Yukako Hiroi a seat before, and went on to check raise 100,000 on flop 6♥ 8♥ Q♦ . Hiroi completed but gave it up after Shu pulled another 200,000 on turn 5♥ .

Cheng Bo open shoved his remaining 215,000, and was called by Bofei Lin on the big blind for a flip. Board T♥ 2♦ J♣ 6♦ 9♣ missed to pair up Bo's overcards, eliminating him from the running entirely.

A preflop back and forth landed both stacks in the middle, Linghan Yu at risk for his 445,000 stack, against Kwok Chun Ng. The cooler situation sent Yu out shortly after board 5♦ 3♣ 7♥ A♠ A♥ landed on the felt, further improving Ng to a set to seal the bust.

Action folded to Wei Lu on the small blind, who shoved 240,000 in, called behind by Tianjiao Fang to put him at risk. Lu flopped a straight on 9♣ 7♦ 4♦ , but was left in pieces after missing runout J♦ K♣ for his elimination.

Shaoxin Lyu open shoved his 133,000 stack and was called by Xiaqing Ji on the big blind. Whilst behind, Ji managed to flop an ace right on board A♥ K♣ 3♥ 2♣ K♠ to take the win.

Off to a rough start, Baofeng Zhang fired a 100,000 three bet from the big blind against Chuang Hao, and saw the latter call for another battle. On board 8♥ 2♠ 7♥ 4♦ , Zhang check called two streets - 80,000 and 200,000, revealing river K♣ . Zhang checked once more, and Hao bet all-in. Zhang tanked, and eventually made the call for his last 484,000 with J♣ J♥ , only to be eliminated as Hao turned over a set 7♣ 7♦ .

Jie Zheng fired an 85,000 three bet vs Hao Chuang's hijack open, and called off his remaining 60,000 after Hao moved all-in. In for a race, Zheng secured the double up as a dry board 7♥ 6♦ 4♣ 7♦ 7♣ left his ace high good for the pot.

Vying for 120,000 in the middle across board K♦ 3♣ 5♠ 5♦ , action was seen on Dong Li check calling a bet of 85,000 from Xu Chen. Chen gunned another 150,000 on turn A♣ , eventually convincing Li to let it go.

Chuang Hao sent out a 90,000 three bet on the big blind vs a button open from Baofeng Zhang and saw the latter complete. On flop 8♠ 3♠ 7♥ , Zhang called another 75,000, revealing turn J♥ . Hao this time, check raised all-in for 612,000 after Zhang put in a hefty bet of 275,000. Zhang burned three time banks and eventually folded, shipping Hao not only the pot, but also his chip lead status.

Haichao Zou defended his utg open and called a 75,000 three bet from Xiang Feng behind. On flop 7♥ 3♥ 9♦ , Zou easily check folded after Feng demanded for another 75,000.

Linghui Dai opened to 27,000 on the button and saw Toshiya Tamaru defend his big blind to see flop 7♣ 5♣ 2♠ . Dai continued for 20,000 and called 60,000 more following a check raise from his opponent. On turn T♥ , Tamaru fired another 79,000, but folded as Dai moved all-in for 230,000 more.
