Asia Poker Championship: A Premier Poker Tournament Series
During the pandemic, poker pubs in Korea thrived, giving birth to new poker brands. Among them was the Asia Poker Championship whose aim was to bridge the gap between local players and the international poker scene by awarding packages to overseas festivals. In 2022, the success of this model resulted in two APC events at the Metro Card Club in Manila, Philippines. On both visits, the Main Event attracted over 500 entries at roughly $800 buy-in. Since then, the brand has been absent from the scene however is expected to return in 2025.
