Day 3 of the RDPT Jeju II 2025 Championship with a KR₩ 2 Billion (~$1,451,326) prize pool comes to a close after a three hour final table bubble where everyone was stalling and waiting for someone else to bust. It got so bad that the floor decided there will be a three hand penalty for anyone trying to look at the action on the other table.

Bohong Yu

China's Bohong Yu bagged the lead with 5,550,000 (37 BB) after a roller coaster ride towards the end of a day that he started in the bottom quarter of the field with only 335,000 (17 BB). His first break came right after the cards were in the air when he busted fellow short stack Jun Li with A♥ K♦ against Li's 7♠ 7♦ . Away from our eyes on the feature table he chipped up consistently adding more chips on almost every table update we posted even becoming chip leader at one point. Then the three hour bubble started and the roller coaster ride began. He tussled a lot with Tao Li - one of the most aggressive players left in the field - and was down to 15BB right after the last level started. He turned it around on a three-way flop 5♦ 7♥ J♥ with J♠ 8♠ where he jammed into a lead from Tao Li who called with 9♠ 7♠ and the poker gods were kind when the board blanked with 3♥ and T♣ . We had a chat with him right after the day ended:

Congrats on bagging the lead on Day 3! How do you feel?

I feel very good. After long hours of playing I can finally get a rest.

What was the plan going into Day 3? You were at the bottom with 17BB when the day started.

To be honest I don't have any plans going into Day 3 I just played normally.

Tell us some key hands that got you to the top?

I don't remember any key hands that got me on top. I'm just lucky.

You already have the biggest cash of your career secured, what's the plan for the Final Table?

Just enjoy the game.

How did you hear about the RDPT? It's your first time here, right?

This is my first time here at the RDPT and my friends called me to come and play.

How and when did you get into poker?

I started playing live 5 years ago.

Is it just a hobby, or do you have bigger aspirations?

Yeah this is my hobby.

He is closely followed by Peng Zhou with 5,225,000 (35 BB), Yuefeng Pan - the most accomplished player left in the field with almost $1M in live earnings and a main event title this year already - with 5,150,000 (34 BB) and his Day 3 nemesis Tao Li who also has 5,150,000 (34 BB) and will sit to his immediate left on the final table tomorrow.

Congrats on bagging the lead in Day 2! How do you feel?

I feel very happy, I was waiting for this moment.

We followed your meteoric rise at the end, starting with the double up against Weidong Cai. How did your day go until that point?

I feel comfortable with my stack even if it was average at that moment and when I doubled up, I still played how I usually play. I didn't change my style because I didn't care in that moment.

What is the plan for Day 3? Use your stack to bully?

Of course I will use my stack to take advantage and gain more chips, because some players are scared to call especially when I have big stack.

You just had your biggest cash in the APT High Roller, what would it mean to follow this up with your first Main Event victory?

I've been waiting for this, because I have a lot of trophies, but mostly on side events and I am really hungry to win a main event especially with a field this big. I have a big stack going into day 3 and I feel more confident.

How and when did you get into poker?

I started playing poker two years ago. My friends invited me to play and I had fun that time so I study the game and started to play live.

The Red Dragon Poker Tour Jeju II 2025 continues today, July 12, at the Landing Casino inside the luxurious Jeju Shinhwa World Resort with Day 3 of the KR₩ 2.5 Million (~$1,815) Red Dragon Championship taking center stage. The event missed breaking the colossal KR₩ 2 Billion (~$1,451,326) guaranteed prize pool by just three entries after attracting a total of 886 players over the five opening flights.

Day 2 started with 236 players after Xiang Long - the only double qualifier this time - lost his shorter stack and ended before the planned 10 levels due to players dropping left and right once the money was reached. He first doubled up with A♦ A♥ against Weidong Cai's A♣ K♦ after going all-in pre with 580,000 at the time, knocked out Muzhi Peng and Yi Yang in the same orbit and put a 30 BB cherry on top when he called a 450,000 three-bet from Naohiro Matsuda with A♥ 5♣ on a 7♦ A♦ 4♠ flop against Matsuda's Q♦ J♦ flush draw that didn't materialize when the board completed 6♠ and 5♠ . Congrats on bagging the lead in Day 2! How do you feel?

I feel very happy, I was waiting for this moment.

We followed your meteoric rise at the end, starting with the double up against Weidong Cai. How did your day go until that point?

I feel comfortable with my stack even if it was average at that moment and when I doubled up, I still played how I usually play. I didn't change my style because I didn't care in that moment.

What is the plan for Day 3? Use your stack to bully?

Of course I will use my stack to take advantage and gain more chips, because some players are scared to call especially when I have big stack.

You just had your biggest cash in the APT High Roller, what would it mean to follow this up with your first Main Event victory?

How and when did you get into poker?

I started playing poker two years ago. My friends invited me to play and I had fun that time so I study the game and started to play live.

Second in chips Kanwen Du From China had almost exactly the same experience in the last hour of play, shoving 495,000 with Q♣ Q♦ against Shuang Bao's A♦ K♦ where the board ran K♠ 7♠ 5♥ J♥ , Du already got up and started gathering his things before the Q♥ river put him back in front. He then chipped up to 2,145,000 (107 BB), getting almost even with the leader.

Wenhao Ying

Wenhao Ying will resume in third with 1,860,000 (93 BB) after starting Day 2 on the bottom with only 68,000 (17 BB) at the time. He is followed by a group of four with very even stacks that will all try to take on the leading two.
