The Asian Poker Tour (APT) Championship Taipei 2025 is set to be the tour’s largest festival to date, running from November 14 to 30, 2025. The event will be held at the Red Space (Red Space 多元商務空間) in Taipei, Taiwan. This massive festival boasts an incredible over TWD 288 Million (~$8.7 Million USD) in guaranteed prize pools, headlined by a historic TWD 156 Million GTD Main Event.
APT Championship Taipei 2025 Highlighted Events
The schedule features 20 Championship Events. The centerpiece is the TWD 311,000 buy-in APT Championship Main Event, a single-entry freezeout offering the largest guaranteed prize pool in APT history: TWD 156 Million. Other must-play events include the TWD 1,5 Million Superstar Challenge, the TWD 770,000 Super High Roller, and other popular championships.

India’s Nishant Sharma emerged as the champion, capturing the prestigious Golden Lion Trophy and a top prize of TWD 37,030,773 (~USD 1,198,405). This victory marks the largest Main Event payout ever awarded in Asian Poker Tour history. Sharma secured the title after defeating John Niko Costiniano heads-up, navigating a tough final table that included international stars like Alexandru Papazian and Dominik Nitsche .

The 2024 APT Taipei Poker Classic was a record-breaking event, crowning several notable champions. The Main Event saw Rene von Reden top a massive 1,991-entry field to claim the largest-ever first-place prize in Taiwanese history, TWD 14.4 Million. He was joined in the winner’s circle by fellow German Martin Sedlak, who took down the APT High Roller, and Singapore’s Dhanesh Chainani, who championed the Micro Main Event.
