Jon Rounce-Sue Natural8 Cup Championship WinnerDay 9 at the APT Championship 2025 was packed from start to finish as three Championship Events played down to winners inside the Red Space 多元商務空間 Taipei. The Natural8 Cup Championship Freezeout , the Mixed Games Championship , and the APT Women’s Championship – Sponsored by LIPS, all wrapped up on the same day, giving the room a steady stream of final tables, railbirds, and trophy photos.

The Super High Roller Championship also reached its final table, setting up a big finale, currently taking place . Over in the side events, the High Roller – Ultra Stack posted a record-setting turnout for the New Era series, adding even more heat to an already booming schedule.

Natural8 Cup Championship

New Zealand’s Jon Rounce-Sue sealed the biggest score of his career by conquering the 490-entry Natural8 Cup Championship, taking home TWD 7,538,480 (~USD 243K) and a seat to the Main Event. He overcame Dutch pro Rob Hollink in a short but decisive heads-up battle, finishing the duel with tens holding against sevens to claim the trophy.

The inaugural edition of the Natural8 Cup drew a TWD 39.37M prize pool, ranking as the seventh-largest of the festival. Several notable players made deep runs, including former champions Christopher Mateo and Kitty Kuo , though both ultimately fell short of the final table. Rounce-Sue’s victory not only marks his maiden APT title but also cements a career-best score on the Asian Poker Tour.

The Super High Roller Championship kept its momentum rolling, closing at 81 entries to set a new APT record for both the largest USD 25K field and the richest non-Main Event prize pool in tour history at TWD 59.5M (~USD 1.9M). The event drew a star-studded lineup, with high-stakes regulars and APT veterans jostling for one of the most coveted trophies of the festival.

Roman Hrabec bagged the overnight lead with 6.865M, followed by Alexander Wice and Axel Hallay. Bracelet winner Danny Tang also returns with a solid stack, while Manuel Fritz comes in short on Sunday, meaning every hand will count. Big names including Erik Seidel , Joseph Cheong , Michael Addamo , and Dominik Nitsche all fell short of the money, while Biao Ding , Alex Lynskey , Dylan Linde , and Lester Edoc cashed but couldn’t make the final table, leaving the last six poised for a dramatic showdown.

Taiwan’s Wei Kai Lin carried a chip lead into the final table and stayed in control throughout the Mixed Games Championship. His main rival, Alex Tchong , fought back repeatedly, doubling up five times to stay alive. Lin remained composed, steadily applying pressure until he finally secured the win. The local grinder claimed his first APT title, taking home the Pewter Lion trophy and a career-best TWD 1,146,000 (~USD 36,700).

Tchong’s resilience earned him a strong runner-up finish for TWD 825,600, while Australia’s Matthew Ginn completed the podium in third place.

Rosalie Petit claimed her second women’s title of the festival in a landmark edition of the APT Women’s Championship. The 119-entry event becomes the largest USD 1K women’s tournament in Asian poker history and one of the biggest globally outside Las Vegas.

Petit outlasted Taiwan’s Yu Lun Huang in an extended duel that paused for an ICM deal. With TWD 29,360 and the trophy left to play for, Petit closed it out with top set to earn TWD 760,060. Huang and Thailand’s Yotaka Phutiya both earned career-best scores.
