Welcome to Day 1B of the APPT Main Event
The APPT Manila Main Event continues today with Day 1B kicking off starting at 12pm. This is the second of three flights to enter the festival's flagship tournament. For the first time in history, the event guarantees PHP 55,000,000 (~US 941,200). Buy in is PHP 80,000 (~USD 1,370) with re-entries allowed.
Players start with a 30,000 stack which is 300 times the opening blinds. Blinds increase every 40 minutes for all Day 1 flights then a looser 60 minutes for the rest of the tournament until three-handed where it drops to 30 minutes. Registration closes at the start of Level 11, at 7:10pm local Philippine time.
All Day 1 flights bag up at the end of Level 15.
At Day 1A, the tournament drew 243 entries with 42 players advancing to Day 2. Filipino Aldous Formanes - who won his seat via freeroll - bagged the chip lead equivalent to 168 bb at end of day. He will be the player to measure up to.
