Chaar-Lee
Chaar-LeeAuthor
Chaar-Lee discovered poker over 20 years ago, starting with fixed-limit games before embracing the rise of No-Limit Hold’em across cash games, STTs, and MTTs. In the early days, he and his circle sometimes played more than 40 different formats in a single night. He organized the first poker camp in his region and has contributed poker technology to several televised shows. Today, he supports the SOMUCHPOKER team from the tech side, blending two decades of poker passion with technical expertise.

Active in the poker scene since 2013, Filipino player Rommel Angeles quickly became a cash game standout, dabbling in Asian Poker Tour Manila and PokerStars LIVE Manila. He had many deep runs and made his biggest cash in 2019 when he dominated the Manila Megastack 13 Kickoff event, bagging PHP 810,000 (USD 15,543).

During the pandemic, Angeles turned his curiosity for online poker into a lucrative hobby. According to Angeles, online poker quickly became a means of living, and he won big at any PokerStars LIVE tournaments, earning PHP 203,500 (USD 4,036) in the 2021 Main Event and PHP 255,000 (USD 4,327) in the 2022 Warm-Up event.

Angeles has yet to appear in international poker but remains ahead of his competitors in the Philippines. His most recent win occurred in the Hot Turbo event at the Manila Megastack 18, where he claimed a PHP 506,000 (USD 9,064) win.

Angeles currently has total live earnings of USD 147,555.
