Russian poker player Valeriy Fokin is a European powerhouse with results in over 100 games. Fokin became a poker regular in 2017, trying his hand at the PokerStars Championship Macau, PokerStars Championship Sochi, and PokerStars Festival Korea. 

Fokin claimed his maiden first-place title in the KRW 400,000 + 40,000 Pot Limit Omaha (Event #14), bagging KRW 3,000,000 (USD 2,660). In the following years, Fokin enjoyed deep runs in the 2020 Belarus Poker Tour and multiple appearances in the Amber Poker Championship in Kaliningrad. 

Fokin’s career truly blossomed during the Amber Poker Championships throughout 2022, wherein he nabbed top titles twice. However, Fokin’s big break came in January 2024, when he placed second in the Single Day High-Roller event at the WPT Cambodia Championship, earning USD 43,000. He proceeded to place fourth and first in the 1k Hyper Turbo and 1k events at the same tournament, bringing his total earnings to USD 61,736.

Fokin nearly bested his top cash at WPT Korea in Jeju when he placed eighth in the Main Event, cashing KRW 55,250,000 (USD 40,976). He quickly secured his third-best title at the MPP Main Event in the EAPT Grand Final/Mediterranean Poker Party in Kyrenia, cashing USD 21,500. 

Currently, Fokin has USD 332,403 in total live earnings.
