Hiroyuki Noda - SOMUCHPOKER
Hiroyuki Noda is a poker professional from Japan who has been on the tour for a decade now. The popular Japanese player has grinded it out in nearly 80 tournaments as of this writing. Noda’s journeyman course is mainly in the Asian tour, playing slow and steady to have built a solid career to make it at 18th spot of the Japan All-Time-Money List, zooming past the 500K milestone with a career total earnings of $893,862.
Hiroyuki Noda – Early Years
Hiroyuki Noda’s early professional career saw him working the live felt in the tournaments around Manila, Macau and Seoul. His first appearance was at the 2014 Asian Poker Tour Manila, slowly building confidence to his first career highlight two years after Noda turned pro. In 2016, Noda first ventured outside the Asian tour with his first stop in the United States. Good move for the Japanese as he bagged his first championship at the NLH Ironman Event of the World Poker Tour L.A Poker Classic, Los Angeles cashing his first 5-figure prize of $ 30,500. He was not as successful though at the other U.S. events and European Poker Tour stints. Noda went back to his winning ways returning to Asia with a couple of deep runs APPT Macau Poker Cup, World Poker Tour National Korea, Jeju and Manila Megastack 6 to cap his 2016.
2017-Onwards
2017 saw Hiroyuki Noda clinch a second title at Asian Poker Tour Incheon NLH Event. The Japanese sandwiched this win with table finishes at the Macau Poker Cup 26 Megastack Event and a High Roller Event at the Macau Poker Cup 27, banking a significant cash totaling over $37,000. Macau continued to be a favorite hunting ground the following year with another title shipped at the NLH Event of the 2018 Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau Poker Cup, adding $ 38,037 more to his career earnings. Noda backed this up with title number 4 at the All-Japan Poker Championship Asian Circuit Incheon ruling the High Roller Kick Off Event. 2018 was a busy year for Hiroyuki Noda with deep runs and big cashes at the Asia Pacific Poker Tour Korea High Roller ($33,616), European Poker Tour Monte Carlo Deepstack Event ($ 47,643), World Poker Tour Korea Main Event ($ 25,160) and capped in December with a 3rd place finish at the European Poker Tour Prague Deepstack Event ($ 45,906).
Hiroyuki Noda carried his consistent play on the live felt opening 2019 with another win courtesy of the High Roller Event at the Japan High roller Festival 5, Incheon, cashing $ 32,693.
Then back-to-back minor titles in March and May at the Asian Poker Tour Taiwan Deepstack Hyper Turbo Event and the Main Event at the PPPoker Live Festival Japan. A runner-up finish at another High Roller Event of the Asian Poker Tour Incheon completed his highlight reel for 2019.
Post-pandemic, Hiroyuki Noda returned to the United States for a table finish at the MonsterStack Event of the 2021 DeepStack Championship Poker Series II, Las Vegas. Noda though reserved his best for 2024 as he placed 3rd at the High Roller Event of the World Poker Tour Korea, Jeju cashing $ 71,913 then snagged title number 8, ruling the Super High Roller Event at the World Poker Tour Gold Coast to also gain a career best live cash of $ 180,259.
If Hiroyuki Noda continues with this trajectory, he may just reach the $1M Milestone within the year.
