Profile

Although born in Australia, Aaron Lim has been a regular participant in APT and APPT events over the last 5 years, and holds the distinction of being the only ever 2 time APPT Main Event winner.
Lim’s first live cash arrived in November 2010, and was a significant result with which to kick start his live career. He finished 4th in the APT Macau Main Event for over USD45,000. In 2011, he added more than USD37,000 to his bankroll through a 4th place on the ANZPT, before adding a further USD37,818 in January 2012 when he won a side event at the Aussie Millions. July 2012, the APT Macau Main Event once again provided a good score for Lim, when he picked up another 4th place for USD46,238. The Partouche Poker Tour in France provided Lim with his biggest ever score, when he managed to finish 3rd for USD524,938 in September 2012. His first ever APPT Main Event win came in early 2013, when Lim won APPT Korea for just over USD111,000. This outstanding result was quickly followed by another, when just a month later, Aaron Lim took home USD244,678 and a gold bracelet for winning a WSOP 6 max event at WSOP-APAC. Lim’s excellent 2013 continued, when he entered EPT Berlin’s High Roller event, and finished 2nd for USD314,728.
2014 saw a further USD251,772 added to Lim’s impressive list of cashes, when he took 4th in the ACOP High Roller in Macau. Another USD131,780 followed, when he won APPT Manila in August 2015, becoming the only 2 time winner in history.
Aaron Lim has achieved impressive results in many parts of the world, but remains a regular face on the Asian tours. He remains one of the most prolific tournament players in the southern hemisphere.
