Red Dragon Championship Clears Guarantee, Down to 53 Players; Zhuo Claims Third Trophy
Day 9 of the Red Dragon Poker Tour (RDPT) Plus Jeju Summer 2026 festival at the LES A Casino saw the Red Dragon Plus Championship field clear its guarantee and play past the bubble down to 53 survivors. Meanwhile, the Dragon Fire 6K High Roller ended in an ICM deal after a preflop battle, Dajie Zhuo won his third trophy of the series, and the tournament floor prepared for a schedule featuring the Mini Main Event and the WePoker Dragon Egg Mystery Bounty.
Championship Field Down to 53

The main tournament of the series brought in a total of 597 entries, clearing the original guarantee to build a KRW 2,063,232,000 (~USD 1,395,460) prize pool. After 10 full levels of play during the day, the field was cut down significantly, leaving just 53 players left to bag up chips for the next stage of the tournament.
Thanh Long Nguyen bagged the overall chip lead with a stack of 2,630,000 (105 big blinds). With around USD 125,000 in total live earnings before this event, Nguyen is now leading the race for the KRW 387,132,000 (~USD 261,835) top prize. Behind him is Zhili Zhou with 2,100,000 (84 big blinds), who is looking for a second title after winning the Event #53 NLH earlier in the series.

The money bubble burst shortly after the players returned from their dinner break. During hand-for-hand play, three players were eliminated at the exact same time across three separate tables. Because of this multi-table elimination, Shuai Li, Yu Zhang , and Yankai Zhang split the minimum cash, taking home KRW 8,250,000 (~USD 5,575) each.

Defending champion Jieming Xu put up a fight to keep his back-to-back title hopes alive, but he was eliminated near the end of the day, busting out in 56th place.
Play resumes with the remaining 53 contenders returning to battle down to the final table, where the chase for the KRW 387,132,000 top prize and the prestigious Red Dragon Championship title will continue.
