Garnering a slightly bigger field than that of the previous flight, Day 1B registration closed with a total of 361 entries added to the tally. The massive turnout once again welcomed a strong contingent from China with over 60% of the 108 qualifier pack hailing from the Mainland. China’s Pan Hai bagged the lead with a healthy 616,000 (205 BB) chip stack following eleven hours of play with Zhou Yun trailing behind with 481,500 (160 BB). Pan sat with a comfortable stack throughout the day and inched over the field by the last two levels. Among the male dominated player pool, female runner Zhou stood out with the chip lead by the time registration closed and comes in 5th rank across the overall Day 2 pecking order.
