WSOP 2026 Day 17 Recap: Nguyen Cracks Aces to Lead $100K High Roller as Liberto Eyes Second Bracelet
Day 17 of the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas produced no bracelets but no shortage of drama, with seven events across all buy-in levels nudging toward their conclusions.
Event #36: $100,000 High Roller - Day 2
The $100,000 High Roller ballooned to 79 total entries after 48 late registrations on Day 2, with just nine players surviving. Christopher Nguyen leads with 17,200,000 after one of the day’s defining moments - he four-bet jammed with king-queen into Artur Martirosyan ‘s aces and rivered a full house to double up. Remarkably, Martirosian had his aces cracked a second time shortly after by Teun Mulder’s jack-ten of spades, sending the Russian to the rail in 19th - on the money bubble. Yuri Dzivielevski (11,800,000) sits second chasing a sixth bracelet. Martin Kabrhel (5,215,000) and Alex Foxen (2,220,000) are also through. All nine are guaranteed at least $255,491, with $2,841,432 for the winner. The final day begins at 2:00 p.m. on June 12.
